SOURCE: My Brother CS-8060/CS-80 is making a high pitched

Hi! The first thing I'd do is look for thread caught on the bobbin winding spindle, but below the little platform where the bobbin sits. It's really hard to get at, but if you shine a light from the side, you should be able to bend your head (or tilt the machine back) so that you can see the underside of that platform. When I've gotten thread caught on that spindle, I take my scaple or a craft knife and carefully cut the thread free, then use a set of tweezers to pull it out. You're working in a very cramped area, so be patient and go slowly.

Make sure the lid that uncovers the bobbin winding mechanism is as far back as it will go; the same goes for the spool that holds the thread.

Sometimes I get a a high-pitched squeaking noise (but it's not loud) just sewing. It comes from the handwheel and I don't know why my machine does it. It stops if I push the handwheel in (although the handwheel doesn't seem to be out.)

See if these suggestions help--if not, let me know, and we can try something else.

Happy Sewing!

SOURCE: "Lower presser foot" error on SE 270D

This happened to me and I eventually realized that there is a small door flap at the top near the "4" in the threading series that can get stuck open. Normally this flap goes up and down with the presser foot, but if it gets stuck open even when the presser foot is down, tapping it or closing it manually will make the error go away.1_9_2012_12_19_55_am.jpg

Loud chirping noises indicate a need for lubrication or something is rubbing against your carriage.

When sewing I am getting a clicking noise with each stitch. I have change bobbin etc. What is this?

Have you installed a brand-new needle? Usually, a bent or damaged needle will make strange noises. You can probably open the bobbin area and hand-rotate the handwheel and watch the needle action. Could be the needle/hook timing is off and the needle is nicking as it lowers to pick up the bobbin thread.

I have trouble winding the bobbin, in spite of following the instructions to the letter. It doesn't turn properly, instead makes a high pitched noise. What's wrong?

What Brother machine do you have? I usually buy the pre-wound bobbins, but they only come in black or white. You also might check the Brother site online I think they have a help area.

could be a broken or damaged part, could be a timing problem, it would be a good idea to have the machine checked.

A high pitched sound comes out of machine when inserting card.

I'm new to embroidering and mine did the same thing a few weeks ago. I discovered the buzzing sound was because the design I saved to the card was too large. I decreased the size and the design worked perfectly.

I have a Disney Brother SE-27OD Embroidery Sewing Machine When I am doing the embroidery the needle comes out I put it in as tight as possible but it keeps happening from time to time.

Make sure you have the flat part of the needle to the back when putting it in and that it's (preferably) a Schmetz embroidery needle with the red band either 75 or 90 or a Schmetz universal 80. Make sure when you install it you can see the top of the needle in the needle slot and all the way up so it's hitting the post before you turn the screw tight. Check the screw each time you sew to make sure it hasn't shaken loose from embroidering.

I have a brother SE 270-d. my only problem is that while embroidering, the bobbin thread is showing through the design on the top. I have tried adjusting the top thread tension but no matter how I adjust...

Try making the material tighter in the hoop and check your bobbin to be sure it's a L (look at your instruction will show you which bobbin works and which does not. I say this because you have a tension problem...dont we all, Ha Ha!

My Disney Brother SE-27OD Embroidery Sewing Machine/trouble

Make sure that your needle is put in the correct way, there is a groove in the front of the needle, check with your finger nail, this is usually to be facing you, and make sure the thread is going through the tension holder correctly do not have the foot down when you are threading the machine,as this stops the thread from going through the needle tension holder.

What kind of thread are you using? When I had this same problem I noticed If I did not have Bobbin thread in the bottom or embroidery thread of the same weight in the bottom it would do this.

Does it pucker when you are embroidering or just sewing in general? If its puckering when your embroidering it could be a few things. 1. no stabilizer 2. the fabric stretched in the hoop too tight. 3. check you tension
