the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Change my e-mail address

Contact your ISP if you want to change the name before the "@isp.com" part of your email. They should be able to point you to your account management portal. If you just want a new address, like @google.com, @outlook.com, etc just go to their main websites and sign up for a free email account.

On holidays. In Hobart emails to Adelaide stay in outbox why?

Hi,

The reason for this is likely because you have your home ISP (internet service providers) SMTP mail server in the setting for your mail account.

In order to fix this you need to change the SMTP outgoing mail server to the outgoing server at your new location. Alternatively call your ISP and they should be able to supply you the exact SMTP address that you should use.

How do i change my e mail address

Hi, firstly never EVER use the ISP given address, it is about as secure as putting a fiver out in the road!
Get yourself an email address from something like yahoo and it will go anywhere you do. For example i have had mine at yahoo.co.uk for over 20 years and 4 addresses and used it in many countries.
If you use say an Orange given one then if you change to Free you will lose the Orange one.
You can for example get URap1ll0ck@yahoo.co.uk and it is if you want yours for life.

Lynette, this is not the place to change your address. Go to the entity(s) where you need to change and make the changes there.

E-mail comes in all right, but I get the error message when I try to send messages out. . . says server won't accept my address

Some ISPs will block your ability to send mail via SMTP client on your machine. If the email server is different from the one offered by your ISP.

the typical port for the SMTP service is TCP port 25. To allow your outgoing email to route past your ISP, change this to TCP port 587.

On Linux and Mac OS/X, this is found in file /etc/services
On Windows XP, try 'windows\system32\drivers\etc\services'

Locate a line such as
smtp 25/tcp mail

and change it to
smtp 587/tcp mail # port for outgoing mail

Can recieve e mails, cannot send or reply to in-comming mail.all messages come up as failed delivery.no problem when first connected

1. Change the settings in your email software so that the email account you're using designates an Outgoing Email Service that your internet service provider won't block. Your internet service provider should provide you with the address of an acceptable Outgoing SMTP Mail Server. This information is often listed on their website; if it isn't, call their technical support and ask them the address of their Outgoing Email Server. Then go into your email software and change your current Outgoing SMTP Address to the one your ISP requires.
2. After you designate a SMTP address not restricted by your ISP, you may still receive the following error:
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78
Now you are reaching the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server, but it won't process your request without further authorization. You will need to go into your Email Software and find the setting that indicates that your Outgoing SMTP requires further authorization. Select this setting and enter the username and password required by your ISP (or reqired by who ever is the administrator of the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server that's not blocked by your ISP). For example, at the time this article was written MSN Internet Service's SMTP Address was: (secure.smtp.email.msn.com). However, this email server won't allow you to use it unless you send your MSN username and password along with your request to send email.

Using thunderbird mail program on lap top. can receive e-mail, but can not send e-mail on any public wi-fi connection. error message says can not connect to mail server on port 25.

most isp blocks port 25 for sending out mail that's the reason you cant send out mail, ask you wifi(ISP) smtp settings and you need to set it on your smtp server so you can send out mail using thier smtp as outgoing server.

OR ask you email provider about your webmail address and manually send out mail using the web interface of your email hosting.

btw have you try to change you smtp port to 587 sometimes it work.
