Take off rubber feet on bottom use a Phillips screw driver.... Then you'll have four Torx screws on the bottom front of console remove those.. Remove hard drive screw and it should pop right open

My ps3 super slim model CECH-4001B KEEPS ON TURN OFF CAUSE IT SAYS OF OVERHEATING. BUT ITS NOT EVEN HOT. PLUS THE FAN GOES NUTS TOO. HOW CAN I FIX THIS PLEASE HELP ME....?

When the sensor things a certanly temp is reached, it will give this error.
on the other hand it could be the cooling is not optimal, so the processor is really healing up. I would not risk burning it. Let a tech check this. Pernis only Some new cooling paste is needs between the processor and the cooler.

My ps3 cech 4001b will not spin disc. what may be wrong?

Could be the Laser, Spindle motor, Laser track assembly,Or small relay which connects when the lid is drawn across. Have you tried an Audio CD? Also cleaning the laser iris when the power is off with a soft cotton bud and some lens cleaning solution. A quick video on seeing if the disk is actually spinning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeq-3s_WN2Q

No display on the television

The system may have been connected with a different video type. Like hdmi, or rca. If you hold down the power button for ten seconds or so, until it beeps a few times, then let it start up, it should fix itself.

I live in South Africa and bought a PS3 Baseball game. It works in my PS2 but not in the PS3, because of the zone code. What is the correct zone code

I assume you bought a PS2 game that works on your PS2 system but not on your PS3 system since a PS3 game will never work on a PS2.

Since not all PS3 systems can play PS2 games, you need to first check the model number of your PS3 system. If you look at the back of your PS3, there should be a serial number somewhere that starts with "CECH", followed by one more letter and a couple numbers (e.g. "CECHC02"). Unless the model number starts with "CECHA", "CECHB", "CECHC", or "CECHE", you won't be able to play PS2 games on your PS3.

If your PS3 can play PS2 games, then you need to make sure that the region of the PS2 game matches the region of your PS3. The region of the PS2 game can be found in the upper-right corner of the front of the box the game came in. The four regions are: "NTSC U/C", "NTSC J", "NTSC C", and "PAL".

Once you know the model number of the PS3 and the region of the PS2 game, you can tell if the PS2 game should work on the PS3. Use the following chart to determine if your game and system are compatible:

Last two digits of your PS3 model number: Playable PS2 game region
00: NTSC J
01: NTSC U/C
02: PAL
03: PAL
04: PAL
05: NTSC J
06: NTSC J
07: NTSC J
08: PAL
09: NTSC C
11: NTSC U/C
12: NTSC J
