Here's a "pay for it" source: http://www.sewingmanuals.com.au/index.php?id_product=21&controller=product but I'd try Janome customer service first.

Could be because it is not threaded correctly. Remove all the threads from the machine, and then step-by-step follow the instructions in the manual. It may help to install new needles. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading. Be sure to thread each thread IN THE CORRECT ORDER or your machine will never run properly.

It also helps to use separate thread colors so you can determine which thread is doing what and which one is not working properly.

I have a Finesse new home 23 4 overlocker. How do I start the threading please.

A manual would be helpful:

Even if you are unable to find a manual for your particular model, similar models usually thread the same or similarly. Just be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine so the thread will seat in the tension disks.

Bobbin not winding tightly

Consult your owner's manual. Possibly, you are not threading the bobbin winder correctly. The thread does go through a tensioner somewhere along the way that creates tension on the thread.

Or perhaps the tensioner is not working properly.

If neither is problem, then you can always pick up a stand-alone bobbin winder (Amazon, JoAnn's, etc) for ~$30. One brand is called Sidewinder. These bobbin winders are marvelous because you can wind bobbins without unthreading your machine. It also saves wear and tear on your machine.

Or take your machine for service.

My serger

Self threading is perhaps not exactly correct, however there is a guide with an armature to release the guide to enable easy access........have a look in you manual

Also take a look at this image and move the lever to use it.....all will be easier to see with the needle plate off ....until you become familiar with the operation

What do you mean you are unable to pull the bobbin thread through, elaboration would help solve the problem...
I suspect I'm having the same problem with you if it's anything to do with the top thread looping around in the bobbin holder.

Damn machine!
