SOURCE: HP 2430tn lj printer with 13.20 jam inside top cover error

This question is directed at Steve from the post above. I need to order the sensor you mentioned. Is that sensor located exclusively on the power supply (Part number RM1-1505-000CN)? Will I need to order the whole power supply, or can I order the sensor separately? It does not show it very clearly in the service and maintenance manual. Thanks for the help!

We have an HP 3550 color printer that has a 50.1 Fuser Error. Will replacement of the fuser correct the problem?

The most common reason that causes a fuser error is its failure to reach operating temperature. If the fuser area can be accessed, check to see if there is noticeable heat present. If not, the fuser may not be getting the required voltage to bring it to temperature and you may need technical help to determine the exact cause of the error.

I have HP Laser Jet 1020 When I print letters

Most cases on that machine it's the transfer roller that does that at 75mm, but could also be drum cartridge or fuser. Use a flashlight and inspect the fuser, shouldn't be toner or image on fuser rollers, If you unplug the machine when the print is in the middle, you can tell if it's before or after the fuser, and after the drum.

Plastic metal shavings inside printer

I had a similar problem on an hp-3052. I was getting pieces of plastic that were grey and yellow stuck to my pages and all inside the printer then papaer stared jamming. The problem was the fuser sleve which can be picked up on ebay fairly cheap. The bigger problem is installing the sleve over the fuser. I tried the repair my self and broke the fuser assembly. It's a cheap part but a pro should do the install this is definately not a diy fix.

My hp laser printer 1020 is printing extra lines

This can be caused by a few things and depends on type of mark.
The first thing to do is try another toner cartridge. If the problem persists it is usually caused by a defective fuser assembly. Either the fixing film in the fuser assembly is worn or torn, or there is toner excess on the film. The fuser is situated just below where there paper exits.

50.1 fuser error

Fuser error is the high voltage drum. Normally there is a blown fuse somewhere attached to it that gives the error other you could have a defective fuser unit. Dont attemt yourself it works with very high voltages +- 600V

The way-off ohms reading would suggest the fuser element is bad. If the fuser is not heating, a sensor will tell the logic circuitry so, and thus your error, and no-print condition. I'm reasonably certain the self check at power on checks for fuser heating. Guessing here, but a heating check is likely done prior to a printjob being completed too. If you can check the voltage at the fuser during the self check or as it readys to print, this would tell you if full voltage is applied. The 12 volts you are seeing probably is a standby voltage. The HP laserjets I've worked with all have higher heating voltages than this. You might be able to find some more accurate info elsewhere on the 'net.
