Have you tried touching the screen with a pen, or stylus. Or even your finger nail? My KORG does not work well with fingertips, needs something harder.

SOURCE: Korg pa800 mic input makes funny noise

First turn the unit off then rotate the input level volume control. If it feels loose pull up lightly on it as you do this. Also rotate all your controls that you don't normally use a lot. Chances are the pots are dirty. If that doesn't help you might want to check all the connectors inside the unit if you feel confident enough to go poking around. Other wise I suggest that you find a shop that will fix the problem. If you do go poking around make sure the units unplugged and that you have grounded yourself against static discharges.

SOURCE: Hello i have a korg pa 800 just a while ago

If this is not a low power supply problem, you might try circuit cooler to isolate the bad part.

Beyond the power supply I would recommend taking this to a shop for repair ONCE you have tried a factory reset.

The key contacts are dirty on those keys. The contacts are conductive rubber "pills" in silicone domes that are pressed onto circuit traces an a board under the keys. One can clean these using ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q Tips, HOWEVER: the disassembly to access the contacts is NOT for the inexperienced person. Each key has TWO contacts and one makes before the other and that is how they measure key velocity. When one contact fails, then maximum velocity usually results. You best take this to a repair shop and have all key contacts cleaned. DO NOT use normal contact cleaners as that will destroy the contacts.

Hello dear yamaha psr e413 not work some button switch.so, i did carbon past. but not work. please help me. dear. Thank you.

Lets answer the question. Which button is not working? It normally means as suggested either the carbon under the rubber button is worn or in some cases the circuit board is damaged or worn. Try to replace the button first as the cheapest option. Report which button and I can send you details of the part number needed either by number on the attached or by which function it does eg tempo + / -

My zoom g1x theres no sound.all power are working lcd light are on.but the sound cannot come out.can any one help me..

What letters / numbers that appears on the screen?
If the display is normal, and you can switch to other banks, and can edit each bank, then the problem of no sound, is at the pre-amp IC input, output amp, or CODEC converter.
This is the overall image of G1X inside.zoom-g1x-theres-no-sound-all-power-2ss5ycyvkoajtv035dpuezke-2-0.jpg Next, we zoom-in the middle of picture above.
See the next picture.
IC2 (left) is input pre-amp IC (NJM2100).
IC4 (middle) is the CODEC IC (WM8734).
IC5 (right) is the IC output (NJU7082).zoom-g1x-theres-no-sound-all-power-2ss5ycyvkoajtv035dpuezke-2-1.jpg

Test whether the input IC is working normally, turn ON G1X, plug the guitar, go to BYPASS/TUNER menu. When the TUNER function could work, certainly input IC is not damaged.
Means only two possibilities, namely CODEC and output IC. That is not easily tested, except in specific ways.

May also, there are problems in the input / output socket.
Turn ON G1X. Try the following (see figure below):
  • Test the output socket. Touch pin output socket (right red arrow) with finger / screwdriver / whatever. If sound is heard in the amplifier, the output socket is normal.
  • Test the input socket, Same as above. (left red arrow). (if this happen in this point, problem is clear).

NOTES:
If lcd light are on (as you say), but appearing G1 or d5 or bt, and the system are hang / frozen, this is a different issue to the one described above, and dealt with in different ways too.

Won't load to default

Hi Lloyd,

The introduction in the manual warns that you should ask your dealer or store in order to change the batteries. I'd suggest seeing if they have any advice.

That said, how are you trying to default the settings? I've copied the two ways below. Maybe try whichever one you haven't yet. I hope this helps.

Manual: http://hammondorganco.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/XK-1manual.pdf

Default #1:
In this mode, you can return entirely or partially to the default setting as set at the factory.

To locate this mode:
Touch the [MENU/EXIT] button for the MENU display, select PAGE D by the [PAGE] button, and then touch the [3] DEFAULT button. To initialize each parameter, touch the button and then [4] OK

1. ADJUST PRESET
  • Initializes the content of the Preset Key [B].
  • If the Drawbar Control mode is at "UPPER A#/B", the content of [A#] is also initialized.
  • If you do this operation before you start a new setting, you can start from the factory
  • setting.
2. PRESET
  • Initializes the content of all Combination Presets.
3. GLOBAL
  • Initializes the Global Parameters such as Master tune or assignment of the Foot Switch.
4. LESLIE
  • Initializes the content of all Cabinets.
5. ALL
  • Initializes all parameters of this keyboard.
  • If anything caused an unstable trouble on this keyboard system, the trouble would be cleared.

Default #2
:
Please perform the following steps to reset the XK-1 to the initial default setting.

1. Switch off the power of the XK-1.
2. Hold the [REC/JUMP] Button, and switch on the power.
3. Continue to hold down / Keep pressing the [REC/JUMP] Button until "Loading Default..." appears on the Display.
4. After 5 seconds if everything is in order, PLAY Mode appears on the Display. (Completed)

When i switch on my Korg PA800, the screen just show's blank. The screen light gets on but just blank blue. What could be the problem?

Hi, Provided your Korg works as normal, besides the display being blank and lit, I may have the answer. It sounds like the contacts connecting the display have somehow become dirty. This could have happened from something getting spilled on the display. To fix is easy enough if you have a little mechanical aptitude. unplug unit/take batteries out,and disassemble unit to gain access to the main circuit board where screen is located, the screen may be held in place with a tin casing either soldered to board or with prong set though the circuit board and twised on the reverse side to hold in place. After removing this there should be a little rubber strip between the screen and circuit board-this is the contact strip that you need to clean with rubbing alcohol. Clean the screen where the contact strip meets the screen. do the same on the circuit board, reassemble and you should be back in business. I hope this was useful, thanks for asking FixYa, and good luck, Prodzilla.

The display on my Technics KN1200 keyboards is blank -I have not used it for some time but when I tried it Yesterday the display is blank -All the other Functions works well. please help Thanks Fritz

Check if there is a contrast setting knob or function. Often the contrast setting gets clobbered and then the display will be blank... worst thing if it is internal setting and you can't see the screen to change it... In that case do a factory reset on the unit. Usually this is holding down multiple buttons when turning power on.

I was looking at a 2nd hand KR 103 to buy. If while playing notes the damper pedal is pressed all sound is muted. Is there a function switch or something that needs swiching on to get it to work? The...

Please note that ROLAND equipment USUALLY uses Normally closed (electrically) damper pedals for their equipment. Most other brands use normally open ones. If you are using a non-Roland pedal, that is likely the problem.

SOME PEDALS require opening and changing a wire (involves soldering) to match the unit you are plugging into. A very few have a switch on them to allow changing polarity.

A few synths, like the Yamaha Tyros have a built in setup screen where one can select the polarity of the attached pedals.

I have the boss BR-900CD and everything seems to work fine but nothing shows up on the screen. It lights up but no data shows up. Thanks

Hello,

the problem is from the display IC of your unit. You nee to change the display IC for your unit to display again.

If you cannot do it yourself, maybe you should consult an expert to help you have it fixed.

Good luck.

Bought a sustain foot pedal and it works the opposite to what it is supposed to...have to release the pedal for the sustain effect

Yep!!! Happens all the time and only a few synths have the option of selecting the operating mode.

NOW if you can open the pedal, USUALLY the switch has both the Normally Open and Normally Closed functions that a single wire can be moved to reverse the operation.

USUALLY you will need a soldering iron to make the change.
