Question about HP Ati Promo Firegl V7200 256MB Pcie Card. Graphic Card

1 Answer

Can not get display settings to save and ''lock in''

I set the display settings to 1360x768 in the control panel and on the ATI card settings but when ever I turn off the PC the setting revert back to the default 800x600. How do I get the system to save the settings change and make it the default setting? I'm using a standard Plug & Play driver on my display and it seems to be working fine. I'm running Windows XP Pro and have a ATI FireGL V7200.

Do you have the latest ATI drivers? They update them frequently so try downloading the latest ones. If you have the latest drivers try reinstalling them.

Go into your display settings. If you have an ATI or Nvidia card then they usually have their own settings eg. Catalyst Control Centre (CCC) for ATI

How connect Panasonic TH-50PX75U to PC? it said the PX75 series cant connect to pc, cuz it dont accept pc signal. what i can do? send me a mail: tiancai_6969@hotmail.com thanx a lot dude!

You have to have a couple of things to make this work: 1) a PC with DVI or HDMI output, 2) a video card capable of 1280x720 resolution and 3) a video card driver/utility capable of correcting for overscan.

I have my laptop connected to one of the HDMI inputs via a DVI-to-HDMI cable. I have Windows at 1280x720 resolution on the DVI port (the external monitor). I set this through Control Panel-> Display. Once I did this I was able to see my PC desktop on my TV. The only problem then was the desktop was cutoff on all side. To fix this it was a bit more of an adventure and this solution would only work if you have an ATI Radeon video card.

I installed ATI Catalyst Control Center (CCC). In CCC, it recognized that I was connected to a Panny 50" plasma. Than enabled the DTV settings. Under those settings I put the video card into 720p@60Hz mode. I then had to create a custom format to shrink the screen to fit my Panny display. I then saved this as the default setting for the Windows desktop. Whenever Windows boots it runs CCC and sets this setting for me.

I hope that helps! It can be done and it looks great.

Viewsonic vp912b lcd display will not work.no DVI

Yes you can but there should be an option in the monitor settings for DVI... Maybe if you go into safe mode and attempt adjusting settings for the ati for the dvi output, from what I hear that monitor is nice with the DVI option would be aa shame to lose that.
