Spots on the display screen

Still not clear, what you mean. But take care wham cleaning a lens. Never use a fluid like alcohol. Use a special lens pen or the soft brush on the other side of a lens pen, when you think the lens is dirty. Spots, or disk, also can appear when light is entering the lens from an angle. Even the expensive Fuji X10, had orbs or disks on the pictures in certain situations. Like dark with one or a few sharp lights close bye. Try the camera in different situations, to make sure the phenomena is in the camera or just a strange rare occasion.
When it is caused by a defect in the camera, it should show on every picture.

Sharp ar5516 error e7

with such error displayed press the print button, the machine shows another sub code, if it is 11 or 12 means a trouble with the scanner section.
to fix take out the glass ,clean the white strip left, the lamp reflector and mirrors, open the lens cover (5) screws, clean the lens and CCD.
if the subcode is 16 a trouble with laser

I have little spots all over the screen display, i believe to be caused by dust in the lens assembly. could that be the problem? i see a lot of dust behind the glass... how do i clean it?

Hi,

If there is dirt or other deposits on the LCD panels they are usually most visible at the extremes of focus. They will be blobby. You may also be seeing dead pixels which are clearly visible when in focus. The lens assembly itself will be sealed and is unlikely to be the problem, don't worry about flecks of dust in the lens area. You can clean the external lens with a soft cloth, much like a camera lens.

Projector internal optics are non-user servicable. If you can't live with the spots it will need to go to an approved center for cleaning / or repair. You should be able to find out where via this page

White cloudy spots on my images - a recent problem

If these are like "bubble" spots and they appear in different places on each photo, I'm guessing you're shooting flash pictures indoors. The spots are dust particles in the air reflecting the flash. This happens on small point-and -shoots because the flash is almost in the same plane as the lens.

White spot on photo

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, this would be a temperature imbalance on the CCD lens. Often white spot(s) appear at night or when the temperature is cold. Workaround is to open the lens but delay taking a picture after a few seconds. The idea is allow the lens to match the ambient temperature.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

White Spot

If this white spot is always exactly the same, but moves off the picture when you start to digital zoom and not optical zoom, there is probably something on the sensor. You mentioned that when zooming, eventually it moves. Are you in digital zoom mode at that time? (The switchover from optical to digital zoom is automatic, but you can disable it). Is this white spot blurry or sharp? Can you see fringes of the image at the edges? (This would suggest something on the lens).
If there is a piece of dust inside the lens ,you may be able to see it looking down the lens. How big is this spot?
Either way, if the camera is new, can you still return it?

A faint spot in all of my photos!!!

For me the issue was flecks of dust on the CCD. Complete fix for d40x effected as follows:

(You will need a 'rocketblower' or similar air cleaning device)

Take the lens off. Set camera to Manual setting and spin around to 'bulb' setting, press the button to shoot but hold it down. You will see the CCD exposed inside the hole where the lens usually attaches. Then taking care not to touch the CCD with the rocket blower give it a few blasts of air onto the ccd. (Possibly before you do this hold the camera at an angle to the light and you might see the dust flecks I had on the CCD.) Then replace let the button go and replace the lens. Voila.
