How to crack/unlock the password set on sata port 0 ST9500325AS Lock on a lenovo G570

My computer locked up, when you turn it on all that comes on is: SATA PORT 0 9500325AS LOCK. This happens every time I boot this thing up. It doesn't matter if I put the password in or not.

As it is the hdd lock and you don't have the password, purchase a new hdd and reinstall your OS and data.

SOURCE: My lenovo R400 won't recognize my password when I'm trying to log in. How do I fix this?

Are you sure your password was with all lowercase letters? Are you sure that as you type each keystroke registers on the screen? Watch the screen as you type your password slowly and make sure it moves with each keystroke. A bad keyboard will cause a problem with your password. If all the above does not solve it turn off your computer, then turn it on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see an option that allows you to log into Safe Mode. Take the Safe Mode Option and when it boots up hopefully and depending on your operating system it will give you a log in for the Administrator and for the user which you forgot the password. Log in as the Administrator and hopefully you have not password protected it. Once you log in successfully go to Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. Once you are in User Accounts, select the user account that you forgot the password for and select the option to Remove Password. Then restart your computer.

Lenovo laptop HDD locked/Sata port 0 locked, insydeh20 bios locked, can't go to boot selection(it brings me to the HDD prompt password again). help!

Sorry, you're hosed. If you forgot your HDD password the only thing you can do is replace the drive and rebuild your S110. There is no way to remove or reset it without using the original password in the original motherboard. Period.
If you're misinterpreting the screen information and it happens to be the bios user password that's forgotten it is possible to have an authorized Lenovo repair center reset it with adequate proof of ownership. Lenovo themselves will not do it. If it's the SVP password for the bios the only solution is to replace the motherboard. Period.

Having passwords that can be reset like in the old days just by jumpering 2 wires defeats the purpose of having a password in the first place.

I believe my hard drive is locked. When I try to plug in my hard drive to someone else's computer I cannot drag anything into it. Thanks for the help!

For some hard drives, you need to have the correct driver installed on the computer in order to use it. Especially if it is a USB device. If not try a different usb port. The port your using might not be working properly. If that doesn't work... turn off the computer and plug the hard drive in, then turn the computer on. The computer may need to recognize it on boot up.

Hi there i just got a new acer aspire ax3950-e3112 computer less than a month ago and already having problems with it... it will go blue screen and crash a lot, and then when i try restarting it says...

Hello
As the system is new and giving problem continuously the best option is to avail warranty from the dealer where you bought it.
The problem you defined is mostly comes with the bad RAM, OS infected with Virus or mother board problem.
You need to check these, or visit nearest acer service center.
Good Luck

Cannot seem to find how to enable the sata ports. I've tried all the solutions suggested with no good outcome.

With the SATA drive properly attached to the cable, try clearing the NVRAM (CMOS). By clearing the NVRAM (CMOS), the system will redetect all the installed hardware including your new drive. Just follow the procedure I have outlined below. After the clearing of the NVRAM (CMOS) you may get a warning at boot up about the Diskette Drive if you do not have a floppy drive installed in the system. If that happens, just go into the BIOS Setup and disable the option for the Diskette Drive. The error message will be gone on the next reboot.

  • Reboot system and enter the BIOS Setup by pressing F2.
  • Turn on Caps Lock, Scroll Lock and Num Lock.
  • Press ALT + E then ALT + F (should hear beep) then ALT + B
If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me again.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time

Windows wont start. dont know how it happened.

press F2 to go to the system setup, then press arrow down to highlight Standard CMOS feature, then press enter. Verify if the hard drive is detected, mostly it is installed in SATA 0 and you should see like a serial no of the Hard drive. If the hard drive is not detected, you might need to reseat the cables of the hard drive inside the computer. Make sure that all the cables at the back of computer is unplugged to be safe. After you reseat the hard drive cable, plug cables at the back of the computer then turn on computer and press F2, verify if the hard drive is detected, if still not, try to swap the connection of the hard drive and the dvd drive of the computer. Plug back the cables and turn on comp and press again F2, this time the the dvd drive should be on the SATA 0 and hard drive should be on the oter SATA port. If the hard drive is still not detected, you need to replace the hard drive, but if the hard drive is detected on the other SATA port and the dvd drive is not detected on SATA 0 then you need to replace the mother board.

Power is on but nothing else

This sounds like a bad hard drive. What make of hard drive is in it? Do you have another computer that you can use to check the hard drive? If you have another computer or access to another computer you can download a hard drive utility that can diagnose and possible repair the hard drive. Is it a SATA hard drive? If it is a SATA hard drive you can plug it directly into another computer that has a SATA cable. If it is not SATA you will need to buy a converter so that you can hook it up to the other computer. This will be an external slim hard drive enclosure. This is the best thing that I can tell you to do.
