SOURCE: lumix pictures blurry

I would suggest that the image stabilizer might not be working right. Could you upload a photo to Flickr or other location where I could look at the EXIF, or list it here. I would like to see what the camera is writing to the image as the settings when the photo was taken.

Does it make a difference when the image stabilizer is on or off?

Make sure you have the Mac driver for your camera. Install the Mac driver that came with the CD. Try to use a different USB cable. You can also try to isolate the problem by plugging your camera to a Windows OS computer like windows xp and vista.

The pictures and viewfinder are very blurry all of a sudden. I notice when I zoom in, the picture is clear. Is there a way to fix this?

It sounds as though you have the camera set to a macro setting. Please make sure the camera is set for normal auto exposure. If that fails, go into the menu and set the options to factory default and then try it.

If your camera has a Macro setting then this will allow you to focus close up.

HELPPP!! My camera will not focus when zooming at all.

Hi,

is it possible that the focus switch on the left side of the lenses is set to macro, or manual focus? That could make your camera "go blind".

Panasonic lumix DMC-FZ10 at least 5 years old no longer focuses

There is a switch AF/MF to set the unit to auto focus/manual focus, try to set to AF mode.
Here is the link of the manual

Have you tried switching the mode dial to a flower icon?

The mode with the flower icon is the macro mode, you can shoot up to 5 cm from the subject.

Also, if you are very close to the subject, then the auto-focus may not function properly if the targeting area is not centered on the subject.

When I shoot macro with my FZ7K, I use manual focus, the auto-focus generally has trouble focusing up close.

I would suggest trying manual focus.

Blurry Pictures

Check that you have not got Macro set accidently.
If lighting level are low and the camera is selectinging a slow speed - reset to Apeture Priority -setting 'A' and and be very gentle with the release - the slightest movement will blur an image on long exposure.
Try these thing and if still introuble come back with more detail

Faulty focus

Have you tried changing the focusing mode to one of the other settings? I usually find central point setting best for zoom. Alternatively, you could try using Macro (the flower) setting - I leave mine on this all the time it's really the best general purpose mode.

Decrease the DOF

DOP decreases with longer focal lengths. This means you would want to stand further away from your subject and zoom in, instead of standing close and taking a wide angle shot. The macro mode is still a good idea, though.
