Evertime i click on "connect player" it keeps saying "limited user accounts are not supported

Password is must for remote desktop. Prefer Microsoft account and with the same user name and password login to both computers. Remote desktop will work.

Log in to the Router

I recently built a system with Gigabyte MB and encounter the same problem after installed Easy Tune from the accompanied CD.  But it only happens when one login as Limited Rigth user.  Account with Admin right shouldn't have this problem.
Here is my simple solution - login as user with Admin right then Run Msconfig (click Start -> Run -> type in "msconfig" then click Ok.  Uncheck ETcall which is the culprit that function as Startup agent for Gigabyte's EasyTune app.
Restart your system and go see it no more even if you login as limited right user.  This way you don't have to uninstall the whole EasyTune app in case later on you would like to overclock your system and such.

if the new laptop is running vista, then there is the problem. Vista is plagued with all sorts of user permission bugs. its seems that you need above admin permissions to do the most normal of things. bad software design from microsoft! vista is like going out with a super model, all singing, all dancing, looks fantastic, but after a while you realise she just a pain in the bum!

so...try right clicking the icon you are trying to launch and select "run as administrator" if the software does not run then there are two ways to cure this... the very quick way, but the problem may come back in the future with other software, or the long way, which will defo stop the issue and it ever coming back again!
the long one we will leave if the short fix does not work, so if that is the case and the short solution does not work then come back to me and i will give you instructions on how to change your user rights in vista. (this whole prob comes down to the user rights your login has been given) but we shall cross that bridge if we need to as it can be indepth.
if however you know how to change the user rights on account in vista then thats the solution, change your account to an 'administrator' in users on the laptop.

however, however... the very fast solution is this download this and install and hey presto your mp3 player and your pc are connected!

There must be an account on the PC with admin rights?? That user needs to log on and change your account to full instead of limited.

You need to be logged onto the computer as administrator.

Go into control panel, then user accounts. Find your account and see if it says limited user or administrator. If is says limited, then there has to be an admin account, you'll have to log into that one.

try to uninstall the software... then restart your computer... then reinstalls your connect sofftware again...

According to the Sony website the connect player won't run under Vista. They suggest downloading their Sonic Stage software instead but according to the spec that won't show the current track playing.
