How to print from a USB stick

The machine can see the USB, but doesn't see any of the files. I assume that if it could see the files, I could select and print them?

Jpeg, Tiff, PCL & PRN files only, and from root directory of USB drive.
As already mentioned, you'll need the Postscript Kit option installed on the machine to also be able to direct print PDF files.
No other file formats are possible with direct USB print.

On some of these models you need to purchase an upgrade to print PDFs, it should still print tiff files though. Also it can be picky about which thumb drive you are using. you will want a drive that has basically no security features. anything that requires a password is for sure a no go, Even so I have found it hit and miss with thumb drives.

How do I remowe wrightprotection on maxell usb drive

Assuming you have Windows 7 - click on start > right click on Computer > manage > Disk Managment on the left > select the usb drive from the menu at the bottom > right click and format, Name it whatever you want. If you want to copy files over 4gb then select NTFS if not then stick with FAT32. Leave allocation unit size as it is. Make sure there is a tick next to Perform a quick format (unless it fails then untick it) then format. Please note that these steps will completely wipe your usb stick of any content it currently has.

Short of memory space , file cannot be saved, box appears and I can't do any further

1) USB stick may have more on it than machine memory can handle. Try using a 512 or smaller stick and only have embroidery designs on the the stick. The machine has to read everything on the stick to determine which are designs and which are not.

Can i use my memory stick to print out from the copy machine

Yes you can. When you plug in your usb memory stick touch the soft key on the lcd that says Document Filing then touch the soft key Ex Memory (I think it is Ext Memory - I know it starts with Ext for sure) then select USB Memory. 2 things though, First if you are gonna try to print PDFs your copier will have to of had a postscript kit installed on it and Second what ever file you are trying to print can not be in a folder.

How do you print front and back 1 page copies?

Most inexpensive home office printers will not have this function.

Most copy machines that have a printer function will do it easily if it is selected in the page setup before you hit print.

If you don't have access to an office quality machine, just take the file to Kinkos on a usb stick.

How to get psp games

Try these steps : 1.
Check to see if you have the right firmware. Firmware is the proprietary operating system the PSP requires for functioning. You need Firmware 1.0 or 1.5 to download free games on a PSP. These versions allow you to play PSP homebrews; later versions have protections that avoid use of non-commercial PSP games.
To check your PSP's firmware, press the PSP's "Home" button. Scroll down and select "Settings." From there, select "System Information." The firmware information can be found in the section where it says "System Software." If this section has the number 1.0 or 1.50, you'll be able to play PSP homebrews. If the number is higher, you won't be able to download free games on a PSP.
2.
Format a PSP memory stick. The size of the memory stick doesn't matter since most PSP homebrews are relatively small. Insert the memory stick into the slot located on the left side of the PSP, where the directional buttons are. Pop open the cover and slide the memory stick in, making sure it's face up and follows the direction of the white arrow.
Press the "Home" button and go into the "Settings" section. Scroll down and select "Systems Settings." In the next screen, continue scrolling down until you can select "Format Memory Stick." The PSP will ask you if you want to format the memory stick. Answer "Yes," and the PSP will format the memory stick within just a few seconds.
3.
Download free PSP games onto your computer. Sites like PSP Brew, UR PSP and PSP-Homebrew.eu contain tons of free PSP games. And the downloading process is pretty much the same. You either select an option to download, or you right-click on the file and use "Save As" for downloading. Visit the sites to gain a better understanding; links are provided at the end of this article.
4.
Unzip the files. Usually, when you download free PSP games, you receive files in a compressed (or zipped), format. This allows a developer to send larger files without the hassle of breaking them up into pieces. However, before you can use these games, you will have to unzip them so you can have access to the individual files.
To unzip files, you need to use an unzipping utility. Windows comes with one, and it's relatively easy to use since you just select options from a Wizard. But if you prefer something more sophisticated, consider using WinZip, for the PC, or Stuffit, for Macs. Both of these programs can be downloaded free, though the legal version of WinZip only offers a 30-day trial. Either way, unzipping is as simple as selecting "Extract" and entering in the name of the file you want your games in.
5.
Connect your PSP to the computer via a USB cable. Make sure you place the smaller end of the USB cable into your PSP. Place the larger end into any of the USB ports available on your computer.
6.
Switch to USB mode. The PSP cannot communicate with your computer unless it is in USB mode. This is accomplished by pressing the "Home" button, scrolling towards "Settings" and then selecting "USB Connection."
7.
Transfer the games onto your PSP. This step is the heart of downloading free games onto your PSP, and it is simple. With your PSP connected to your computer, take whatever games you plan on downloading and place them into the PSP > GAME folder. If this folder doesn't appear automatically, you can create one by "right-clicking" in the PSP directory and then entering in the name "Game."
8.
Run the games you downloaded. After you have installed the desired games onto your PSP, disconnect the device from your computer. In the main menu, scroll to the "Game" section. Select the "Memory Stick" option. The PSP homebrews you downloaded will be contained here. Highlight one of them and press "X." Assuming the homebrew is coded properly and you have the right firmware, it should run just like a commercial PSP game.

With memory stick in Designer SE machine USB port, whilst selecting a design, got an error message "Device disconnected". This appears to be an intermittant problem and has happened using different memory...

Notice if this problem ever happens with the memory sitck that came with your machine. If it does then it may be the outlet you plug your stick into. Look at the outlet, does it looked damaged in any way?
Some USB sticks now come with programs on them with could be causing a conflict in your machine.

I would look at the files on your original stick through windows explorer and see if there are program type files that you could copy to other sticks that may help them communicate with the machine better.

Need help with transferring designs to machine

Put the cd into your computer drive and open it. Put your usb stick into one of the ports and open it as well. You must have the emb folder on the usb stick to put the designs into. If they are not there already- turn off your sewing machine and put the stick in. Turn on the machine and go to settings, then embroidery. Find the one that says Format. and touch that one and then let it do it's thing.

Once you have the folders on the usb stick- you can highlight the design name you want from the list (cd file) and drag it to the folder on the usb stick. Alternatively... right click on the design you want to move. Select copy. Open the folder on the usb stick and right click inside it. Select Paste. The design should appear in the folder for the usb and then you can take it out of your computer... put it into the machine and find the design.

If I can help with anything else... lmk.

From all the info I can get it is the same chassis as a brother PE100. It used custom eeaprom cards and read .PEC or .PES files.
It could also be like the Bernette Deco 500 or 600 series. I have also seen a modification of this chassis called the EM10 by Husqvarna and it is USB direct connect and comes with software that outputs .HUS files.
