a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: card reader installation!
The device wont be recognized by your computer until you insert a card. Plug a card into the reader, then plug the reader into the computer. You should hear a confirmation tone (if the card is formatted) and it should appear in my computer. No drivers or software are required as it uses a MSD (Mass Storage Device) interface.

SOURCE: Dynex Mini Card Reader
I had this problem & after getting hung up on by dynex support and best buy I figured it out myself.
1-go to dynex site and download driver for mac http://www.dynexproducts.com/p-580-dynex-5-in-1-usb-20-mini-memory-card-reader.aspx
this file will be named something like DX-CRMN1 Setup.fit will be encrypted and will open up a document with only symbols if you don't have a decompressor or expander.
2-You will need to download the stuffit expander at http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20954
3- once you download that open the expander which will open a window with a blue circle and four arrows around it. DRAG THE DYNEX SETUP FILE INTO THE CENTER OF THE BLUE CIRCLE
4-After a few seconds a file will appear on desktop labeled something like Alcor generic (if thats not the name for you just look on your desktop for a folder that wasn't previously there)
5- at this point put your memory card into the card reader and the lights should start flashing on the front and the card will be recognized. At this point iPhoto opened and I was able to import the photos.
HOPE THESE STEPS WORK FOR YOU & LET'S NOT BUY ANYMORE CRAPPY DYNEX PRODUCTS.

1. You have to see if the program is compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.
this is possibly due to drivers that the Windows 7 doesn't have in the "cab" files.
this manufacturer of the Dynex is your next step for a Windows 7 driver set.
