SOURCE: I have a NAD 5120 turntable. When the head liftes to play,it connects on one channel and the unconnected side makes a "mmmm" sound. What do i needs to change? Or is this the end?

This may not be the end. Check the connections at the rear of the cartridge. They have a tendency to work loose over time

How do I set-up my NAD 533 turntable for initial use???

This Turntable looks nice. The belt goes around the two spindles [one big one small. the speed is adjusted by choosing which part of the small spindle you put the belt on. The upper platter rests on the big spindle and doesn't seem to be secured to it.
The counterweight should simply screw onto the back of the arm.

My very old NAD 5025 got a hum noise problem

Check the motor shaft. It could be bent making the pully wobble which makes the whole turntable vibrate which gets passed through the needle. I just found this out on mine. Easy way to test is to hold the platter while the needle is resting on the record. The speakers will hum/wobble at a low frequency. Lift the needle off the record and the sound stops? It's the motor...

Nad turntable

the belt (aka rubber band) should be changed when it starts to slip
it is not whats causing the table to turn backwards. it's the motor or circut that drives the motor.
