Question about Mitsubishi WS-65819 TV

Open Question

Mitsubishi WS-65819 no video

TV Powers up and you can get to all the menu screens but no video, only audio. Tried for picture on Ant A and Input 1 and 2, all hooked up to different components but same results. If you disconnect the RCA Video cable the TV goes into the 2 minute shutdown mode and when reconnected it goes back to a blank screen so I know it senses the video signal. At first thought it was a setting (one year old remote lover roams the house) however I have been through everything I could find and can't get the video back, there were no problems leading up to this. After cleaning all the dust out there are no apparent problems with any of the boards but 90 percent of the time they aren't apparent.

SOURCE: Vertical Lines on my Mitsubishi WS-65819

This sounds like a bad connection or a bad capacitor in the 220 volt source that supplies the voltage for the CRT boards. You will need to get a schematic and trace out this voltage from the PM board to the CRT driver boards when the set acts up. it could even be a connection on one of the plugs from the PM board to the CRT boards. Sorry but not a real easy repair. Might take some time to trace unless a component is failing. Good Luck

SOURCE: just bought a mitsubishi cs40503 i got the dvd

check if your unit is cable compatible.if not , you need to buy a cable converter.much better if your cable converter has audio/video out.

TV screen goes blank but power stays on

Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.

No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

Mitsubishi WS-65819 2002 rear projection

1)possible bad RF modulator (the small box the A or B signal first goes thru) 2)Bad tuner (mounted on signal board) 3)or missing voltage to run tuner You could replace signal PCB,but that gets a little pricey.
