I should have mentioned if none of the suggestions work you may have a burned out speaker. The heat generated by the windshield dries the speakers out. I have had two speakers replaced in my Whistler 78 Pro in the last 5 or 6 years.
what country , (GUESS) speed warning chime ?????

i use ice pick like TV crime movies do, jab jab , chime dead.....for ever.
what speed, 120KMH?
best answer world wide, is:
"Once drove a 58 Buick that had a speed warning which was set at 90 mph and would start playing the tune "Nearer My God To Thee"
all posts say, ask your dealer.
no dealer, then i ask why buy a car with zero support and parts.
or drive in.
be aware the patrol cars change the bands to overcome the detection units on sale so that they can identify speeding drivers. Have you unit tested but if it proves ok then the changed band will be the problem. Over here they are using a combination of bands and infer red to detect speeders.
find a mobile speed trailer somewhere in a neighborhood just because it doesnt alert when you are next to a patrol car doesnt mean it isnt working 9 out of 10 the radar gun isnt on in the car or the gun is set to alert at a higher speed than what you are doing i always check mine at the mobile speed trailers that the cops set up in neighborhoods
menu 2 settings 3 tones incoming call alert (set to ringing) ringing tone ( pick your ring tone) ringing volume (set to level 5 loudest) vibrating alert (on) message alert tone (pick tone) instant message alert tone (standard) keypad tones (on) warning tones (on) this is for the alarm and ringtone this is where your problem is so double check these settings ok alert for (all calls)
I suggest that you don't use this product. US designed and manufactured RD models have well over 10 times the detection range, and the unbelievably cheap Early Warning RD will merely give you a false sense of security -- followed soon after by a speeding ticket if you frequently speed. Jump over to radardetector.net for some real advise about radar detectors.
This is because the Sunkyong Early Warning radar detector is an absolute piece of junk in terms of actual radar detection performance. It performance is dismal compared to any product manufactured by Bel, Escort, Whistler's higher end products, or Valentine Research. Let me guess -- you bought your Early Warning RD off of eBay.
LED Display gives you your display visual alerts, signal strength, and operation mode. Here is an attached link for the manual.....http://www.uniden.com/pdf/LRD6399SWSom.pdf But to answer your question here is what the difference between the green light and the red light are: 1. X-Band Signal Indicator—A green LED lights and blinks to indicate the presence of an X-band radar signal. The blink rate increases as the radar source gets closer. A distinct audio alert is also heard. 2. K-Band Indicator— An amber (orange) LED lights and blinks to indicate the presence of a K-band radar. The blink rate increases as the radar source gets closer. A distinct audio alert is also heard. 3. Ka-SuperWideband Signal Indicator— A yellow LED lights and blinks to indicate the presence of a Ka-SuperWideband radar signal. The blink rate increases as the radar source gets closer. A distinct audio alert is also heard. 4. Laser Signal Indicator— A red LED under L lights and blinks to indicate the presence of a laser signal. A distinct audio alert is also heard. 5. SWS Signal Indicator— When an early warning hazard or informational signal is detected, the yellow SWS LED begins to blink and the amber K-band LED lights. A distinct audio alert is also heard. 6. Power-On Indicator— A green LED under P lights to indicate power is being supplied to the unit and the unit is turned on. 7. LED Signal Strength Meter—Four LEDs give an accurate visual indication of the strength of radar or laser signals. 8. City Mode Indicator—A green LED under C lights to indicate that you selected City Mode. 9. Auto Mute Indicator— A red LED under M lights to indicate that you selected the Auto Mute feature.
