I am replacing the blades. Which way does the bolt thats holding them in place unscrew?

All blade retaining bolts are typically standard thread, that is, turn them clockwise to tighten them, and COUNTER-CLOCKWISE TO UNSCREW them. Safety Tips! There are sharp bits under the deck so wear gloves. NEVER mess with the mower while the motor is running. Seriously, there are some people (usually with missing fingers) that have tried this. Also, when you put the new or sharpened blades back on, the sharp edge goes closest to the ground. Stay safe.

Is the blades supposed to come off when I take the container off of the blender.. My blender is brand new sat for 3 or 4 years after I bought it. . The first time I used it , it was extremely hard to get...

You did not specify a brand or model number of your blender; however, most blender jars will lift off their power base without turning or with only very little turning motion to release them from the base. The blade assembly should NOT come off as you remove the blender jar from the power base.

Were you successful in removing the bottom ring which normally screws on to the bottom of the blender jar from the powerbase?

You should make sure you have properly attached the blade assembly for your brand/model.

The blender blade assembly should be held on to the bottom of the blender jar by the bottom ring which screws on clockwise; most will have a sealing gasket that fits between the blade assembly and the sealing surface of the blender jar to prevent any leakage while in use. It will take much more turning to unscrew the bottom ring to release the blade assembly than it should to release the bottom ring from the powerbase.

Assemble your blender jar and blade assembly and try a dry run by placing on the powerbase, giving a couple of bursts of power, and then seeing if you are able to remove without the blender ring unscrewing.

Make sure you are comfortable with the action required to remove the blender jar from the powerbase before you put in to use.

Good luck!

How do I change the blade on a skilsaw 5250 2 1/4 hp 7 1/4 in. circular saw... there is no "locking mechanism" on this model? is this a "left-handed" bolt, Do I turn it...

Here is what you do, this is common on some skill saws, you of course make sure is unplugged, get your self a stick ( like a small broom handle type, or a piece of 1 by 2 chuck or wood, or anything of about that size. Put saw on its side, with the blade side toward you to get access to the nut to take off blade. As you know the blades go down( clockwise when operating to cut wood) and of course now, you have the problem of taking off the blade counter clockwise because the angle of the blades are going back words, ( nothing to grab on to the wood, to put a wrench on going counter clock wise to take nut off. What the idea for you and normal way is this, as the saw is on the side, with the nut/blade side toward you, you wedge the piece of wood, between the left top side of blade under the frame of the blade, meaning you are wedging it in, so the blade when turning the nut counter clockwise to unscrew, will stay in place. Think of it as wedging the blade with a chunk of wood, so it will not move. AGAIN, it comes off (nut) counter clockwise, so, you are just using this wood chunk to keep blade from moving, and then to put new blade on, just reverse procedure. Thanks Mike

I own the dw713 - it a good saw.

To change the blade, first unplug the saw. Bring the blade guard all the way up. When you do you should see a black star drive bolt on the left side of the blade housing, toward the front. This bolt must be loosened far enough to allow the guard to rotate up far enough to expose the bolt holding the blade to the arbor. With the guard out of the way, press in the arbor lock on the motor housing (its a black or gray button) while slowly turning the blade. You should feel the arbor lock engage and the blade no longer turn. The rest of the steps you have to do while holding this button extra set of hands would help about now. Using the wrench that comes with the saw (its mounted at the back, near the dust port), unscrew the arbor bolt. The arbor bolt is reverse threaded to match the blade rotation, so it will be counter-intuitive when screwing/unscrewing this bolt. To unscrew, push the wrench away from you. To replace the blade, just reverse these steps. When putting on a new blade, don't forget to orient the blade teeth in the direction of rotation. Happy cutting!

If this has been helpful, please take a moment to give me four thumbs up.

I unscrewed Stanley 10-379 Interlock retractable knife and now I don't know how to put back the gizmo that fell out or the three blades that came with it.

Google: how to change blade in Stanley 10-379 utility knife. Stanley website shows how knife & blade look on the outside. Put it together so it looks like that. Sorry, but ain't don't know how to send the picture to you.

Do not know how to replace a blade, no instructions

The blade is clamped to the saw with two screws. Unscrew both screws slightly. Pull down on the blade to remove. Blade holder may have a pin that engages blade. You may need to giggle the blade back and forth. Install new blade inreverse order.

not sure of the lasko brand but some fans have a cap over the center of the blades that must be unscrewed to remove the blades.( the motor shaft has threads on the end of it ).
some older models actually have the blades that unscrew opposite of turning direction, and you have to find a way to grip the motor shaft and unscrew the blades........
hope this helps.............jay

Put on mower blade for black and decker lawwn mower

Hi, unplug the spark plug wire.turn the mower on its side, in the middle of the blade there is a bolt. Unscrew the bolt on blade to take it off, and to put it back on, put blade on first and bolt it back together.

If this doesn’t work for you, please write back.
