Question about Washing Machines
I'll stert from the beginning. When I push start the sensing light come on along with the lid lock light. the lid lock light goes out and it takes some 5 - 8 minutes for the machine to sense. It begins filling and when it comes time to begin wash cycle the lid light is out. If I pause and restarts (the lid light comes on. When it comes time to spin out it starts the lid light begins to flash and the cycle becomes very slow, sounds like it can't get started. The rinse cycle doew the same thing. When it comes time to spin the lid light goes out and it does nothing. If I pause and then start the machine again, it starts, but after it runs a short time, it seems to what to kick up to speed and the lid light begins to flash and the spin slow way down and seems to stuggle to run at all. I have changed the control board, lid lock, as well has checked the pump for blockage. I recalibrated the washer as well as check the fault codes. The fault code read as : 1. sensing, rinse, spin, done 2. sensing, rinse, spin, done 3. sensing 4. sensing Got any ideas?

There is a service manual behind the control panel it will show you how to test the door locks. If might have a bad lock solenoid.

SOURCE: shutting down on rinse cycle
Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing
To reset the Whirlpool washer turn off and unplug it, restart the washer after 30-40 minutes and check if the washer is reset. Let me know if you get any error code after restarting the washer. If no error code appears then the issue can be due to faulty door switch, remove the top cover of the washer and check the connections to the door switch. Hope this helps... Please post back with complete model# if you need more information.
