Question about Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx GPS Receiver
My Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx won't reliably power up. Sometimes I have to repeatedly hold down the PWR switch to get it to power up. It sometimes takes several minutes. I have the latest software, I've tried taking out the batteries for 30 minutes and that sometimes helps. Sometimes applying power through the USB cable or RS-232 gets it to power up. Lately I'm having problems powering down. I don't think it is the power switch because the switch works fine when dimming the backlight. A friend of mine has a identical unit and has similar problems. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions?
I suddenly had the same problem. Here a page with the explanations : http://forums.motionbased.com/smf/index.php?topic=3814.0 I removed the cache back to clean power connectors, tighten the cache back to properly adjust the power connectors on the map. Now everything is working properly.
