The fact that there is no screw suggests its a push fit. Without knowing the machine, I am taking an educated guess, but suggest you will need a hydraulic press.

The impeller is screwed on to the shaft, you need to pull the cover off the end of the motor opposite the pump so you can hold the shaft to keep it from turning. The impeller should unscrew with just hand pressure, most are a standare SAE thread and turn counterclockwise to remove. Hope this helps.

To get to the brushes all you need to do is remove the 3 screws on the back handle of the tool. No need to seperate the motor from the gear housing. Pull the back cover off and you have access to the brushes

Hi Bevitt just read your posting. Now are you referring to the main seal of the tank and the bearings for the main shaft? Also where is this 'large circular white base' located,is it under the machine or in the tub?Sorry to ask you this question but I am having trouble picturing what you are describing. Please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you rectify the problem.Looking forward to your reply.
