DVI no signal keeps saying check video cable i have

If it worked before and suddenly doesn't work now it could be a bad cable. kinks in the able can be a problem but also when you plug-in the cable be careful because damaging the cable end or the the cable port is easier than you may think.. first replace the cable with one that you know works on another unit ..if that doesn't work examine the ends carefully for anything out of the ordinary.. get a technician to take a look if something seems strange with the cable end or the port..DVI cables come in several flavors make sure your using the right one and don't force the cable in that could make matters worst and more expensive....good luck..!

Monitor keeps going to sleep

Hi,

This issue is related to the Video cable. Better check its connection. Unplug/replug it to both computer and the monitor. If this doesn't work, then you need to replace it.

My monitor, keeps saying it is going to sleep. VGA says no input signal, as well as DVI. And I know nothing about computers

If there is no output on the screen, check all you cables and connections and ensure they are snug and secure. If there is still a problem, it is possible your video card is to blame. As a diagnostic step, try hooking the monitor up to a different computer. Or hooking up another monitor to your computer. This will help eliminate bad cables and connections. If a different computer works on your monitor, then you most likely have a bad video card. If you monitor still will not work on any computer, then you most likely have a bad monitor.

Hp w1907 keeps auto adjusting every 5 - 20 seconds

happened once to me, (I have this exact monitor), heres what i did that fixed it:

Unplug all cables from monitor, leave it unplugged for a few mins.

Replug cables in starting with first the power then let it come up,
then plug in the VGA cables, and see if that fixes it. If not use the buttons on the front to switch input channels and maybe you can get it that way.

When I start the computer the Windows XP Logos light up on the Monitor (HP w1907) when the computer starts the Logo disappears and the monitor goes to sleep

If this monitor (HP w1907) is going into sleep mode the normally blue power led will change to yellow. This indicates loss of video signal or possible out of range resolution. If the picture goes dark and the power lite stays blue, you have a backlight malfunction. It can be an inverter power fault but this model mostly has worn out backlights causing a shutdown condition.

Check the connectors. They may be loose else your power cable is giving trouble.

Try connection another device to the socket you are using and check if that is the problem.

Mark this problem as solved if you manage.

HP W1907 Won't stay lit

You may try to rule out the monitor problem by using another monitor. If it does it with another monitor than it may be your video card. Also make sure you check your cables to ensure they are connected properly.

My hp w1907 monitor keeps crashing everytime i turn on the compuuter it has weird colours flashing when i turn it on

It needs to configure in the Display with right resolution and Frequency to avoid this problem. The Video card is the source of the problem. It has a limited setting. When the setting out of bound, it causes this problem. Try to connect it to another computer or a laptop. If it is OK then there is a problem with your Video card. Good luck.
