It is possible that the thermostat is not shutting off so it is running constantly except for the defrost cycle. The other possibility is a stuck damper. I would check if the refrigerator is cycling at all or posibly running way too long.

Model KBF A25ERSS01 - S/N ECT2510800

I am not familiar with this refrigerator, but what you describe can happen if the refrigerator uses a motorized damper to control the refrigerator temp by varying amount of air from the freezer that circulates in the refrigerator compartment. If the damper door is stuck in the open position or broken, the refrigerator temp will not be controlled and freezing can occur in the refrigerator compartment.

PSC23NSTESS FREEZING VEGTABLES

Side by Side ModelsIf foods, such as fruits and vegetables, in the refrigerator are freezing, it can be caused by several things. First, check the controls. They should be set at "C" and "5" or "5" and "5". The proper fresh food temperature is between 38 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer should be between 0 and 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • If food in the bottom of the refrigerator is freezing, this could be caused by a refrigerator not having enough food to absorb the cold air.
  • If food in the door is freezing, move the door bins up or down so they are one notch away from freezer vents (Side by Side models only).
  • The fresh food control should be at the normal setting of 5.
Freezer on Top Models
First, check the controls. They should be set at "C" and "5" or "5" and "5". The proper fresh food temperature is between 38 and 42 degrees Fahrenehit. The freezer should be between 0 and 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Since the cold air coming into the fresh food section originates in the freezer above, the rear of the top shelf will be the coldest spot in the fresh food area. Avoid placing delicate items that freeze easily on the back half of this shelf.
  • If food is freezing in the produce (fruits and vegetables) or meat pan, it may be that the temperature controls are not set high enough. Since cold air naturally falls, the pans can get too cold if the refrigerator is not running long enough to maintain good air circulation. Adjust both controls up one notch.

Refrig. is freezing food

Your problem is going to be with your damper if its a side by side, the damper is what will direct the airflow from the freezer section to the fresh food side. Often times the flap will break off or stick open allowing cold air to enter the ref section all the time. This will cause the food to freeze usually towards the top of the unit. Or possibly a bad temperature control causing the unit to run constantly.

Food is freezing on our top refrigerator shelves

well i'm not exactly sure what fridge you have but that is usually caused by the what they call a baffle...which is a flap that opens and closes to let the cold air from the freezer to the fresh food side. It sounds as if the baffle is stuck open or moving way too slowly and thus freezing your fresh food. You can find a part number and price at partsselect.com all you need is your model number. Good luck!!

Food freezing in refrigerator and water dripping

The problem with the water is that the drain tube is plugged. The easiest way to fix this and to save money is to unplugg the refrigerator and leave the doors open all day. This will thaw out the drain tube without a service technician coming out. That will fix that problem. With it freezing the food on the where its not supposed, This may be a bad cold control. But try unplugging the unit for a day with the doors open and this may fix both problems. (i know it will fix the water issue)
