Prototype 2 crashes my PS3 (80Gb) when trying to load the cinematic after you escape from the labotory (mission 1 at the explosion) How can I get through this please ?
Try seeing if disc is scratched in that area.
There are some scratches on the disc, but I have a lot of other games with more scratches and they all run perfectly.
And a friend of mine has finished the game on his PS3 with my disc, so I don't understand from where comes the problem...
Well if it keeps doing it at that same spot in the game I doubt it's he game system.. If you can trying it on another ps3 as it's the first mission and won't take long and see if it freezes on someone else's ps3.. May clean your laser.
Ok then that ps3 maybe newer and a better laser quality then yours..

It could be just the error saying there is no old save file found, which is normal if you are just starting the game. Play the game and it should attempt to save automatically or ask you to save. Play it for a good 30 minutes, if it hasn't asked you to save it is probably auto-saving. Try turning the system off and trying the game again. If you get the same error about no memory then yes the hard drive is having an issue. Call Sony at:
