I've installed an OS (Win7) on my TA-790gx m2+ (with 940 phenom II quad core) numerous times. Yet every time, it hangs on boot up. They are clean installs on brand new SSD drives with legal copies of my OS's. Everything is legal and everything is connected professionally. Yet it hangs on boot up EVERYTIMME. Help me pleaSE.
The problem lies there itself.. you have installed it several times.. instead of installing it one more time... You should repair it.. you will get the option to repair while booting the PC.. just do this..
If you can get to Safe Mode, maybe Device Manager would show what driver is needed or not available. Try less RAM also, in case there's a bad strip.

You would need to make a floppy disk with the sata drivers on them for windows to use during the installation so it can recognise the drive... assuming you don't have memory problems that is...

SOURCE: I can't boot from CD. Can't boot previously installed OS
Hi, Make sure that you set the POST first boot to CD. If the disk is a bootable disc, you should be able to boot from the CD. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me ASAP. Thanks, Mike

My first question would be have you re-installed windows or are you using the same hard drive and windows install? If you using the same install, windows does not like having the hardware changed so dramatically and would require a fresh install. Please let me know if this is a fresh install, with the error code from the blue screen if possible.
