Question about Toshiba Original Lamp For 52WM48P Rear projection TV
Is it the bulb or something else?
If you have it hooked up with component RCA cables, make sure that the cables are plugged all the way in or try a different cable. if you are using a VGA cable, make sure that you are using a 14 pin cable not a 15 pin. If you are using HDMI make sure that both ends are fully seated in the port. some electronics use a low profile HDMI cable that will not plug in all the way if you use a standard HDMI cable that has a fat "head".

The first thing is to replace the bulb, and that should be your only problem, because when the bulb is is bad it will not start up. so replace the bulb and clean and blow out the area where the bulb goes, and clean the filter, and make sure when reinstalling that it it is is in the correct position and the door to the is close are the way , or it will not start up. You can buy just the bulb, or the hold cartage that holds the lamp. replace the lamp and you will be go to go.
