Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
If you had a large red box with that kind of message in it, and hit OK or indicated Yes in any way, you probably got a very destructive virus and now have to rebuild your software and OS from scratch. It is way too difficult to explain how to get rid of it on this forum. Too many steps, and without knowing what all you did after this started, I have no way of telling you how to get it off your system.
Better to wipe out and start fresh. And do not think of backing things up, because of the possibility of taking that with you to the new system when you rebuild and restore from backup.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
