Unhook starter cable at the starter, see what happen. Turn key see if fuse blows. Your starter maybe hung up or shorted out.

Beko condensing dryer Model DRCS68. Hi, my dryer is tripping my electrics as soon as I turn the power on at the fuse spur. Any help on what else could be faulty that is tripping my electrics?

Are your fuses the proper size to run that dryer? A person I know put twenty amp fuses and could not understand why they kept blowing. I am not sure but I think it takes thirty amp fuses.. That's what we put in hers.
Are you sure its wired properly when you replaced the element.
Could be a short some place as well.

Tip

Brake Lights Not Working

Check System Fuse: A fuse is used to protect the brake light circuit from amperage overload. If the fuse has failed it will not allow the electrical current to continue to the brake lights. To check the fuse, first locate the brake light system fuse in the fuse panel which is either under the dash or under the hood in the power distribution center. Connect the test light to a ground like an engine or dash bracket and turn the ignition key to the "on" position. Using the test light probe both sides of the fuse. If the test light illuminates on both sides the fuse is ok continue onto the next step. If one side of the fuse illuminates the fuse has failed and needs to be replaced. If the fuse fails as soon as it is replaced or when you apply the brake pedal the brake light electrical circuit is shorted to ground. Rarely a system short can occur, a car repair manual is needed to find the wiring schematic for the brake light circuit. Once the brake light wiring has been located inspect and repair as needed.

Fuse blows as soon as you incert it into yhe ignition circuit on my C300H countax

You have a short somewhere and you need to trace the wiring. For your diagnosis, use "circuit breaker" fuse which will auto-trip/reset if there is a short or high amp draw. I even replaced some of my fuse with circuit breaker.

Razor e300 Continually needs to be reset continuously need to restart my e300 because stops, only has 2 week old, initially worked perfect, then reset again run until stopped again.

I posted a similar issue about the same scooter. If you do replace the batteries and still experience the same issue, check the wiring for loose wires and possibly replace the fuse.
After replacing the fuse and connecting wires, my scooter doesn't pop the fues with every use anymore.

Washing machine blowing trip?

It is best to disconnect the mains lines from the control panel to the different section, which are the motor, heater, inlet and outlet valve pump. If the fuse trips then the fault is the control panel board and could be a failure of the rectifier or SMPS driver. You might need to replace the board.

Hi Kris,

It certainly sounds like you have the diagnosis about right. Clearly there are still internal components that are wet and they are causing various short circuits that will cause trips and strange behaviour. One of a couple of things will have happened here:

Either the machine will dry out and return to normal operation (you would be surprised at what a soaking electrical equipment can take and still work once dried out) or the soaking has blown a controller board and the machine will need diagnosis and repair.

My first step would be to pull the machine out and leave it in a warm and well ventilated place for about a week (A conservatory is a great place for drying if you have one). After a week, try the machine and you will quickly learn if it has dried out and survived or not. If it is still dead, then call for a repairer.

A couple of things to note here:
Firstly: Be patient and wait the whole week. Every time you turn the machine on and it fails because a component is still wet, you run the risk of killing a component that had managed to survive the initial problem.
Secondly: If the machine is worth the repair, it is probably best to call out someone qualified. This kind of problem is a DIY nightmare and you can find yourself buying components that dont fix the problem, or worse, that you blow up, because the problem was somewhere else and all you did was put a new component in place for the fault to destroy. Better to call out someone who knows what they are doing, has test equipment and who will blow up their own components that they paid ffor rather than yours!

Drier stops drying while clothes are still wet.

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-

Electric Dryer---

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.

3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.

4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.

Gas Dryer---

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the continuity of the heating element in your gas dryer using a multimeter. Replace the element if continuity is not there.

3. Inspect the thermal fuse if it is burnt out, it is attached to the exhaust duct on the back panel of the gas dryer. Replace if necessary.

4. Check the igniter by first disconnecting it, and then place the probes onto the two contacts of the igniter. The meter should read under 100 Ohms of resistance, if it is above 100 then replace the igniter.

5. Check the continuity on the flame sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible.

Hope this helps...

Ok, this is the result of a failed High limit thermostat. you should replace this failed device asap.

Check for continuity in the thermal fuse as well. replace if no continuity is found.

Kenmore front load washer won't heat

The gas burner assembly uses solenoid coils in a circuit with the flame sensor to safely ignite the burner. When the dryer starts a heated cycle, the circuit through those components is energized. The igniter glows until it reaches the proper temperature to ignite the gas, at which point the flame sensor trips open and the current flowing through that circuit is diverted to the gas valve coils so the gas valves open, and the burner lights and continues to burn. If the solenoid coils on the gas valves fail, the gas valves won't open for ignition. If the gas valve coils are weak, the burner lights during the initial ignition sequence from a cold start but it fails to light the burner on subsequent ignition attempts. In this situation, replace the valve coils. I Had the same problem with mine and I fixed for like $25.00 US. Its not hard to do look at the video. Either buy your part from them or to get it fast and not out of this world go to "repairclinic.com
