the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Sorter for Canon NP-6545

Hello bohicarrl,
I tried to place a hyperlink in this field from the Canon website to see if I could go around their tight security regarding sharing of info. It just went to their tech website but was blank as far as data and gave no opportunity to navigate the site.I know this of little if any help but since the s/n and model sticker is missing I am left with this useless bit of info. That "older" model machine was marketed with it appears with 3 styles of sorter. And they only post the parts for 1 of them (I am surprised they even give that). But, the models were the K1,J1 and H1. The H1 is the one they still have posted and I would not want to try to give you part incorrect part numbers to repair a problem that we are not sure of. I am so sorry I could not be of more help. I don't work "FOR" FIXYA, I just try to help people by way of Fixya. I have been working on copiers for over twenty years at the end of a whip (lol) and i enjoy helping people at my pace and liesure. Take care and good luck. .........spinal..........

Canon code E000001-0002

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode:
press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside)
press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneously)
press "additional functions" again
The display should show a choice of
copier,feeder,sorter,fax,or board service modes
Select copier
select clear
select ERR
press OK
Turn power off & back on.
****IMPORTANT****
After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils at 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair.

Need help disabling Toshiba 3550 sorter

I don't have operational sorter, but I can locate one for you if you are interested. Now, the solution to you copier is for you to go into the service mode and change the setting from sort to non-sort. This is the step you need to take. Go to the Service mode by doing the following.

1. Turn of copier
2. Push on 08 then Power on copier
3. enter 4 then
4. Push Print
5. Change the current value from 1or 2 to become 0
6. Push or press Interupt to reprogram the copier.
7. Then enter 09 to get out of the service mode.

Good luck.

please have the check on fuser for damage. Could be a thermistor, thermo switch, or faulty heaters. To clear error, service morefunction/clear/error/ok/ exit service mode and cycle power.

fuser over temp means the fixing assy has exceeded the manufactures maximum temp limits

Toshiba 3550 Document Feeder

1- you've already established that the jamming is coming from the sorter, since you said they jam as they exit the copier into the sorter bin.
2- check to see if the sorter is aligned, is one side higher than the other? is it crooked? are the wheels of the sorter turning as the paper exits the copier, is it plugged into the copier? does it show "connect sorter" when detached from copier?
if not the sorter board may be bad.It may need to be aligned ( not easy if not used to doing.)
