When programming the radio, it is important that loading took place in August at an appropriate pace. Too fast processor in your computer could cause such problems.
Look for an old PC with a processor 486, install the software for these radios, and then fail to program them, provided that you have the right software

I recommend you **** can the USB cable and get a RIB and Rib cable. The GP300 Motorola software is available online for free (I can give you the web page address) and works just like the real Motorola software. I have programmed at least 20 GP300s with it with no issues. A RIB is the only way to go. Everyone has nothing but trouble with USB cables. Particularly with newer radios like the CP200.

SOURCE: unable to program tk-3207

hi, all i can think of is- A, the computer is way too fast for the program you are trying to run, what you need is a really old slow computer or B,

check the COM port settings on your computer.
click start, right click on my computer, click properties, then click on the hardware tab, then device manager.

then there will be a 'Ports COM &LPT' just make sure the com port number is the same one as you are using on the software. Hope this helps.

I have purchased a second hand set of Motorola xtnid radios, the old company's name is still displayed in the screen when I first switch it on, how do I remove it ?

Depending on the radio, mots Motorola business radios are programmed with a computer and a cable that attaches the radio to the computer, or a programming RIB. This all depends on the age and model of the radio, but since you said that a companies name appears in the display, I am pretty sure it is a business band radio that has to be professionally programmed. I say professionally because even if you have everything you needed to program the radio, I sincerely doubt that you will be able to do it. Motorola software is called CPS, but then again, it depends on the age of the radio, newer Mototurbo XPR radios use a much newer software, and they interface to the computer in a different way, that is without the use of a programming RIB. A RIB is a box that goes between the radio and the computer, newer radios only need a simple USB cable that is made to mate the radio to a uSB port.

Do you have a USB programming cable for the radio? If not, get a USB to serial adapter and plug between the computer USB and serial programming cable. Adapter driver will help with the interface.

what version software is the CE44, version 1.0, 1.08 or 2.0 ?
remember alot of the software out there for vertex is regulated for dealers only to download frequencies, uploading is no problems, read as much as you like.
also
if your connected via usb with port 1 or 2, then move to number 3 or number 5 and rename the port to number 3 :) then try it

Motorola XTNi off frequency

There are several ways:
1) Customer Programming Software (CPS)*
Allows users to perform various programming
functions. Plus, the CPS software provides access
to new features such as Radio Reporting to
manage cloning and radio profiles, Manager Lock,
Power Select, and Time-Out Timers.
* CPS is available as an optional accessory, including required USB cable.
2) Easy Cloning
Quickly copy settings from radio to radio with
either the Radio-to-Radio Cloning Cable or the
Multi-Unit Charger accessories. (Both sold
separately.)

You should be able to purchase any of this software/equipment from your retailer where you purchased the radio.

Best regards.

Cant get the CP110 two way radio to work with the NFL style headset. I got a cable to plug into the laptop, but when i do there is nothing that pops up to try and work with the CPS

On both issues, make certain the radio is turned off when you plug the two prong cable into the audio jack. Then make certain the two prong plug goes all the way in the audio jack until you feel a slight snap feeling, like something has just snapped into place. On new radios the jack can be quite tight.

As for your CP110 programming issue, you need to be certain you are using the CPS for the CP110, as opposed to the CPS for the RDX sister radio. The RDX software will only work with the RDX radios, despite the radios looking identical. The CP110 is from the business division of Motorola and the software for it is only available to dealers (and other qualifying clients).

I am out of the office for the weekend, so I cannot tell you exactly how to put the CP110 into programming mode. However, I can tell you it most likely requires you, with the cable plugged in, to hold in a button on the radio while turning it on. If you are still having issues, and you are using the correct CPS, please repost another question and we will answer you Monday. Best regards.

PS. The dealer where you purchased the radio should reprogram for free for the first year. Might be worth asking. =)

The XTS Series of radios are very professional - the person responsible for programming your "Fire Radios" was obviously successful - or you wouldn't have one assigned to you. My advice is that you get that person to make the changes you are looking to make. I suspect your version of software is older than the version currently in the radio - and if you had a real reason to have this software, you would have a valid subscription - and hence, the most up-to-date version. Just exactly what are you trying to change on your radio? Are they authorized changes?

Those are the main questions I would be posing.....
