Question about Vehicle Parts & Accessories
I have a new battery and the plugs r gud so dunno wats up wit it can any1 help its a 1999 fiat punto 60sx
Are you certain the alternator is charging the battery? Put a voltmeter across the battery, should be about 12VDC when off. Start (or jump) the car and check again, should be about 14VDC or so. Then if okay, change the voltmeter to AC scale and check again. If there is more than 1.5VAC, then the alternator is bad. If no increase from 12VDC when running, then alternator or regulator is bad. Also make sure the alternator belt is not slipping.
If the alternator checks out, check the starter current draw. Excessive current draw indicates the starter is bad and should be replaced.
Of course, this assumes the battery cables are in good condition and firmly attached. Other wiring in the charging circuit could also contribute to the fault.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities.
It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then
it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure
or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty
ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.
