Question about InFocus Office Equipment & Supplies
DMD or DLP chip has died. Can be replaced by user if you have electronics experience equivalent to building or servicing desktop computers. Just replaced mine this week, actually. Good as new now. The part or chip number is on the chip itself. Once you have that number, you can usually find replacements on eBay for roughly $200. Kinda pricey, but way less than a new unit. I looked at some forums but found no listed DMD chip numbers for your projector:(. Hope this helps!!!!

Set the lamp to economy mode, make sure it is being used in a cool room with easy air flow thru the projector. If the problem persists, there are two fans inside and a thermistor that takes the temp reading, there is small adjustment POT on the board to increase the operating temp if needed.
