SOURCE: Throttle linkage

It seems that Mac engineers could have come up with something better than the M.M. kluge that they did. The problem is hooking the wire link to the plastic hook on the trigger plastic casting while juggling the front case and engine body. It appears that it should just snap together, but knowing how plastics get with age, it would appear that the trigger should be replaced every time the case comes off. I had trouble with mine and wound up straightening out the wire link end somewhat to force the parts together--it continues to work though. Hope this helps!

This link gives a breakdown of the Chainsaw. The trigger is mounted internal, and has a linkage to the throttle plate on the carb.
Determine which part if any need replaced and turn saw on its side, then remove the screws and lift one side off. replace the broken parts and reinstall cover.

I have a Robin eh 34 engine in a Simpson power washer. The engine starts and runs but wont rev much past a fast idle. Carb has been cleaned thoroughly. gas is fresh. Suggestions

Butch if carb was good and clean and linkages were re installed properly including governor, it is possible the throttle tab/lever (what linkage hooks to) is loose on the shaft that opens the throttle butter fly. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a 1989 ford bronco full size. my throttle cable is sticking open a bit and in order to get it to rev down i have to pop the hood and push it back with my finger. how do i fix that?

probably is not the cable and more likely the throttle that is biding on you

disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle body and try increasing the engine speed with the linkage on the throttle body

if you find the engine is still running fast then your concern is in the throttle body. Clean the inside with a soft, link free rag and some good soap and water...avoid brake cleaner at all costs!

if when controlling the throttle with the cable disconnected and the engine does NOT race, then your concern is in the cable and you'll have to replace it ASAP

Gas pedal sticks

does it stick in the cab or on the throttle body? make sure the cable is wrapped around the throttle linkage properly first and then id spray some wd40 on all the moving parts down by the pedal. sometimes gunk can get built up in that area and it just might need a good cleaning. odds are pretty good that the moving parts are really dirty or the cable isnt lined up properly on the throttle linkage. id start there.

Poulan Lawntractor 13.5HP throttle linkage missing

The easiest thing for you to do is look at another mower that has a single cylinder Briggs at how the linkage is set up. They will all be the same linkage from 12 hp- 20 hp.
