First check the printer itself is working OK by printing a test page.
Most printers have a power-on self test (eg press feed button while pressing power on - please consult your manual). If the test print is OK, then it's the PC or connecting cable. You could try any other PC or laptop (you would have to instal your printer software first) but just try re-installing your printer software first on YOUR computer. If that doesn't work try any other PC or Laptop available as directed above.
USE A FILE THAT YOU HAVE PRINTED OK BEFORE IF POSS.
If none of the works then the cable is suspect.

Poster printing too slow. What can I do to speed it up. Sometimes it takes a half hour just to print one poster.

Poster printing is always slow because it is memory intensive and one HUGE file, data has to be swapped in, used, deleted and more data added until the post is printed. The only way is add supplemental memory and that is not available as an option on most home printers.

Steps to Troubleshoot Epson Printer Slow-to-Print Problem?

Learn to troubleshoot Epson Printer Slow-to-Print Problem as not all printers are created equal. Print speed may vary depending on system configuration, print mode and document complexity. Processing time on the computer system is not included in the print speed. The several factors where printing is slow are mentioned below:
    ·Printer driver settings
·Size of the data being sent to printer
·Windows spooling error You can also get in touch with Epson Printer Technical Support for further query or simply follow the steps to troubleshoot the slow-print issue.
Steps to fix Epson Printer Slow-to-print issue:
    Step1: Observe the data cable
Check whether the data cable is less than 1.8 meters in length and is connected directly to computer system. Use of long cable and connecting through third party such as USB hub can cause communication and print delays.
    Step2: Paper type
Check that paper type you have selected in the printer driver matches the paper loaded in the printer and selected paper print is also appropriate
    Step3: Some general tips
Click on icon shown for general information on how to remedy slow printing
    Step4: High Speed enabled
Check for high speed if it is enabled in the printer driver. Depending on the driver the setting may only be available on certain quality and paper selections.
    Step5: Enable High Speed
Open the printer driver from printers, printer and faxes or Devices and Printers folder and check whether the high speed is enabled in speed and progress
    Step6: Other Settings
Check for other settings as well in speed & progress for better printing speed
    Step7: Spool folder
Create new folder of spool on the hard drive and point the driver to it
    Step8: Carry a test
Print a test page form general tab of your Epson driver
    Step9: Perform
If printing is still slow try reducing the size of the data sent to printer

Recieving data very slowly and not printing

Slow transfer of information to the printer can be a couple of things.
1) The document is massive. If you are sending a picture then check the size of the image file, same for normal files. More than 1Mb is going to take a long time unless you have a very powerful printer.
2) The Driver is not able to translate the file into a format the printer can accept. Try updating the driver.
3) The connection to the printer is sketchy. If the cable connecting the PC to the Printer is damaged some information will be getting lost as it is trying to send. Try replacing the cable.

Extremely slow printing

The printer is an inkjet printer. Inkjet printers are slow printers compared to laser printers.

Also the print speed depends on the size of the document printed.
If it is a large photo or file, it will take longer than small notepad file.

Speed also depends on coverage. A page with a lot of it covered in ink, will take longer than a page which is only coverd in ink on a small part.

Also the print speed depends on computer memory and USB cable. Fast cable and a lot of memory mean fast transmission of data to the printer.
Slow cable and small amount of memory (512Mb, or 256Mb or less) mean slow transmission of data to printer

I have a Brother MFC 790cw that does not print black all the other colors work, I have updated the driver bought a new ink cartrige and used the the clean option for the black ink. I know it is recieving...

Try printing a rest page and if that doesn't print in black ink the printhead is probably blocked.

With some printers the printhead is part of the ink cartridge and such problems tend to disappear when the cartridge is replaced, unless the cartridge is faulty. Other printers use cartridges that are ink and nothing more and those are prone to the printheads drying out and becoming blocked unless they are never allowed to become completely empty of ink and are kept in frequent use.

Cleaning/replacing such a printhead usually needs special tools and experience and in the case of many cheap domestic printers the cost of service far outweighs the cost of replacement.

10 % Memory problem showing my printer and slow

In the printing process, there a stage called spooling. This is where the data to be printed is cached into your system, so that you can print it even without having to leave the source application open. However, when you are low on RAM (or computer memory), the spooling and printing process slows down since the system is finding it hard to transport the data due to the bottleneck. Closing running applications (such as your web browser, music player, media player, games, and such) would definitely help ease out this one.

Zebra S600, Recieves data, but does not print

Go into the printer driver and select print a test page, does it print out?
If so then try printing from your label software, it should work, if not then it is your software that is at fault.
If the test page does not print out then check all the settings in the print driver, so they are the same as the physical label.
If non of this helps then go to www.lancerlabels.co.uk and do a live chat to Michael.

Wont recive info from computer

Go to the printer folder in control panel and makle sure the correct printer is set to default - you might be printing to a different printer. (When you look at the print queue window, look at the name of the printer at the top of the window)
Otherwise you mighht need to uninstall and reinstall the software
Let me know how you get on

replace the network card, then reconfigure the IP address in the machine and that should take care of you. if not then you could have a bad emod (electronics module). also check the cat5 cable and the network drop for functionality.
