I recently had my car kit installed into a different vehicle. Every time I answer a call the car kit seems to mute calls and switch them over to my cellphone. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3.
Any ideas about what the problem maybe would be appreciated.

Has your 3100 ever worked correctly since being installed? Can you give me more information about how it was installed (professionally or by your self)? Often times when these are installed the mute wires get connected (Mute 1, 2, and 3). These are unnecessary and will often cause problems because many stock radios don't have a dedicated mute wire. If you are able to get to the wiring disconnect and tape up the mute wires. Did that solve the problem? If not and if this also came on after a time where the Parrot worked correctly, it could be the blue box or the mute cable (the one with the wires that go to and from all the speakers with the black box on it) have gone bad. I've installed many of these without issues. I've also had to replace brand new ones after people installed them and connected the mute1, 2 or 3 wires. If those mute wires are connected to the wrong wire in the vehicle it can allow current to flow into the device causing it to damage itself damaging itself.

sometime, it my be in relation with the install. Just a simple question, did you install it by yourself? if yes, did you connect the mute cable of the kit? cause if you disconnect it and try to make working the kit and see if the mute is working may be the explanation. signal treatment.
(except trouble of the kit), after a while plugging on a 12v dc only can be the explanation. Do you have the message "good bye" on the display when you switch off the ignition key? If not, that could also be due to the fuses inverted to the vehicle between the 12 dc and the 12 ignition. Then you just have to inverse fuses.

[Mute /Auto Answer] is a dual function button.
Mute flashes when it is on and Auto Answer lit solid. Both of these features toggle on and toggle off. Auto Answer will turn on and off during the on-hook condition. Mute is employed during call.
If these lights are not associated with the Mic working, you may have a bad set.
