Question about HP Hewlett Packard Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-All-in-One Wireless Inkje
Regarding your HP Officjet Pro 8600 printer and refilled HP 950/951 ink cartridges and the "low ink" messages. Depending on your ink refiller (or if you did it yourself?), a replacement chip may or may not have been installed with the recently refilled cartridge(s). Refer to picture on our support site to first determine which type of cartridge configuration you have, then refer to the applicable section to address the current cartridge error(s) or printer issues.

Refer to Section A if your refiller attached a new replacement chip (green in color) onto the cartridge. Refer to Section B if only the original HP chip is attached.
CAUTION: Be advised, the use of compatible/clone cartridges (i.e. sold thru the internet from China) are known to be problematic and may cause printer errors and/or permanent PRINTHEAD failures (due to incompatible ink formulations). We do NOT suggest refilling these types of ink cartridges.....refilling of original/genuine ink cartridges is only suggested! HP original/genuine ink cartridges can be identified by the visible HP logo on the front label of the cartridge.
