Access Of Sound Device On Pc (HP)

Go to CONTROL PANEL, HARDWARE & SOUND, MANAGE AUDIO DEVICES (Under SOUND). Click on PLAYBACK to see what audio device is installed if any. If necessary, select a device and/or test it.

If no device is present, you need to run a device driver search to find what driver was not installed - Slim Drivers from slimwareutilities.com is free and does a great job at identifying missing drivers. It will usually find the missing driver and help you install it to get sound working on your system.

If installing the proper driver does not help, you may have to use an external (USB) audio plug and only be able to access sounds through headphones or speakers.

check your sound drivers from device manager, if not installed, then install updated drivers of your soud device and then it will not show any problem

If you have internet access then try performing a Windows update to see if Microsoft will pick up the device and install the drivers for you.

If not then you will have to visit HP's support website and enter the model number and download the audio driver from there.

Is is a "brand-name" computer, such as a DELL?
If so, access: http://www.DELL.com and click "support".
Enter the model-number, and do a search for "device-drivers".
Pick the device-driver for your Operating System, download & install it.

Or, does your computer have an add-on PCI soundcard,
such as one from Creative Labs?
If so, access http://www.SoundBlaster.com
and find the device-driver for that hardware.

Or, within "Device Manager", double-click the sound-device,
and click "reinstall driver", and allow Windows to connect to the Internet
to find/download a driver.

Or, access http://WindowsUpdate.microsoft.com
and click on 'Custom', and then click on 'Optional Hardware',
to see if Windows Update can find a device-driver.

If you're using Windows, go to device manager [right-click My Computer, click Manage, and click Device manager in the Computer Management Console Window], next access your Sound device and make sure it does not have any yellow exclamation [conflicting drivers] or question [missing drivers] marks. If it doesnt and you still dont have sound, you'll need to download and install audio codecs from your Computer, or sound device manufacturers website...good luck

Install ur sound drivers again.They will be on the mother board CD u got with ur PC.
