GFCI Breaker tripping when turned on

Try running the motor in the dark. You may find it arcs to the chassis of the motor and that is your culprit. Had same thing on a hot tub 10 years ago. The professional techs tried everything for me. i finished the last part at 10pm and turned the motor on and saw the arc then trip the gfci. Good luck

Motor hums, water leaking out from under toilet, will not grind

If it is not tripping the GFCI Outlet or tripping a breaker, than more than likely the impeller is stuck. You will have to remove it to find out.

Pool motor wll not turn on

It is one of two things 1) your motor has died, or 2) It is not getting electricity. If you can verify proper voltage at the motor and it is not humming or trying to turn on that would be a motor issue.
Absence of electricity could mean a bad wire, bad switch, thrown GFCI, (ground fault circuit interrupter), bad contacts on timer, tripped breaker, bad breaker etc...need more info.

Problem with Malibu Landscape Lights Transformer ML900TW

Use an extension cord to plug the transformer into a different "test" GFCI receptacle, if it holds on the test GFCI you know that the GFCI for the transformer needs replaced. If it doesn't hold, then the transformer is on the way out and should be replaced. Sometimes motors and transformers will "leak" current and still work, but not trip a regular circuit breaker. A GFCI that is doing it's job will catch it though. Don't force a GFCI like can wear it out prematurely.

My hayward pool pump not working, forget to close the air vent before pump started and is water allover the pump, what to do?

Water sprayed on the pump occasionally shouldn't hurt it but it might cause a ground fault circuit interupter (GFCI) to trip. If you turn on the pump and literally nothing happens then most likely the the GFCI has tripped. If it hums then this is a different issue. If you have a volt meter you can open the timer box and check whether power is available to the timer. If no power is available in the timer then it confirms that the pump is probably ok. Checking your circuit breaker panel for a tripped breaker or finding a tripped GFCI then either one can be reset and your pump will probably run without a problem.

I hope this helps.

When I connect the 240 volt motor directly to hte GFCI breaker it works fine, however when run throough the time clock, when I turn on the breaker, it trips the breaker

You have T104 timer that controls 240Volt motor.
You have 240Volt GFCI breaker.
GFCI to motor works fine.
GFCI to timer trips breaker.

Either timer is wired wrong, or ground fault in the timer.

Open following links to review wiring:

1) Make sure clock motor wires are on terminals 1 and 3, and that clock motor is 240Volt WG1573 and not 120V WG1570
2) Try connecting GFCI hot leads to terminals 1 and 3 and don't connect wires to motor.
3) Click manual override both directions and see if a short appears.
4) Remove ground wire from timer but leave power connected. Test metal timer body to ground wire to see if there is power flowing to ground.
5) Unscrew clock motor from body, and make sure clock is not touching metal body, repeat test to ground to see if clock motor is bad.
6) Remove small white wires that power the clock, to test if clock is shorting. Replace WG1573 if clock is bad.

7) Connect 240Volt motor to terminals 2 and 4. Click override back and forth. Then reverse wires to 4 and 2.

Hello,I have an old jacuzzi vectra II hot tub (1988) 120 volt.the gfci on the unit trips every time the pump is on low speed with the thermostat calling for heat. there is no trip when there is no demand...

ok so when the pump is on high and the heater is running it doesent trip? you didnt say if it did. undo the heater leads so the pump is isolated completely. run the pump on the control centers gfci and see if it trips. if it does then try wiring directly - with an extension cord to a plug with a gfci in your house and see if it trips the gfci in your bathroom. if no trip inside house then bypass tubs gfci and run it with heater and pump through your bathroom gfci. if no trip then try and replace the tubs gfci, it gets pretty humid in the control center and gfci's have a semiconductor which which do fail after years of rough duty like that. if it trips the gfci in your house with the heater again it has a cracked heater element. craigslist always has old hot tubs and parts. you might have to buy a whole used old hot tub but that may be cheaper than a new heater box.
