Question about Computers & Internet
I have magic jack for my phone and have had it for two years now. When I talk for more than thirty to sixty minutes at a time, it wants to cut me off from my phone call. It just goes dead or goes to a dial tone. It has always done this but seems to be getting worse. It does not matter if the call is long distance or local it still cuts me off from my phone call. Do you have an answer as to why this happens??

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Registering Handsets to the Base
Whichever handset you choose to charge in the base is automatically
registered to the base. Any additional handsets must also be registered to
the base before you can use them.
Be sure both handsets are fully charged.
One at a time, place each handset in the base. The charge/in use LED on
the base begins to flash, indicating the base is registering the handset.
Wait for at least five seconds, then pick up the handset and press
[talk/flash]. If the display shows TALK, the handset is registered. If not,
place the handset in the base to try again.
Press [end] and continue with the next handset.
Once both handsets are registered, it doesn’t matter which
handset is placed in the base or the charger.
When you charge the handsets, Caller
ID summary screen and the name of
the handset appears.
This can be find from uniden website.

Hi peddler65, did you plug your phone into another area to see if there is a dial tone. Then if not call the phone company or find the D-mark (where your dial tone ) comes into your home and put a jack on that and plug a phone in with all phones
in the house unplugged.

Turn off your LOCAL AREA CODE entry in the Panasonic... Magic Jack WANTS the area code to ALWAYS be dialed... so store incoming caller ID's with the AREA CODE INTACT and dial only from numbers with an area code displayed. Worked for me!

"However the phone option is not available..." Are you sure? you can switch to headset or by phone anytime you want. Switching to either one of these devices you need to right click on your magicJack phone number in the software(located at the top left portion) and click on "switch to phone/telephone".
