The simple mean is the average, same thing. Add up the total of any N numbers, and divide by N.

Two squares have perimeters of 20 centimeters and 48 centimeters. How much longer is a side of the larger square than a side of the smaller square?

Dear Roby,
This is a "school" question, so you will need to find a school and ask the math or algebra teacher what the answer is.
We are not math or algebra teachers, we are people who try to help other people with problems they have with a PRODUCT only.
God bless your efforts.

You didn't say which part of mathematics you want to study or what is you previous knowledge.

For algebra see these courses:

On The Open University you can find even more courses and on this site you can find links to a lot of online resources for algebra (lessons, tutorials, games, problems...).

For calculus I recommend:

And if you have questions or you don't understand something you can ask here.

I hope I helped you :)

Is algedra the only tip of math that an electrician needes to now?

In general no. He/she will need some elementary vector calculus as well if he will try solve problems regarding design of various circuits powered by AC. Some elementary integral/differential calculus will be useful if he/she wants to solve more complicated problems with respect to power/energy consumption for example.Let just say Algebra is a MUST!

What does ker(f) in lienar algebra mean?

Hello,
It seems to me that such question is well above the grade level that appears in the heading. Ker(f) comes from the English word kernel . The kernel of a homomorphism (application, not necessarily a function ) between two sets that have similar algebraic structures, is the subset of the original set (domain) the images of which are the neutral element in the target set (range). The kernel measures the degree to which a homomorphism fails to be injective.
Specific definitions exist for specifiq contexts.
I would advise you to curl up with a good book on abstract algebra and read more, with pen and paper,

Hope it helps.

Write a problem that can be evaluated by the algebraic expression x- 450. Then evaluate for x = 1325

Math & Science Grade 1-3

I don't think you can learn algebraic equations in a low grade. It is simple enough if you just solve by hand or by a calculator.

Solve for y, when x = 1325.
x - 450 = y

1325 - 450 = y
y = 875
