SOURCE: My 95 Accord 4 cyl burns a lot of oil. Compression

It means that your piston rings are worn out or the compression chamber or sleeve is worn out..4 stroke engine has compression rings and another rings for oil only..So even though you have compression it does not mean that your oil ring is not worn out..

SOURCE: excessive leaking on gun handle

The pressure comes from very sealed container and with the weather hot and cold usually the housing start to expand and let the pressure out…same with the hose. Fixing the unit may be more than the price for new one… If you like to try look at hardware stores, True Value, etc. for the parts…let me know

Where can I buy daisy model 25 repair parts?

Daisy Gun Works
632 N Avenida Tortuga

Phone: (520) 305-3114
Email: Daisy@IntegrityGunsmithing.com
To receive a repair quote, please identify the model of the gun and where it was made. Either "Plymouth, Michigan" or "Rogers, Arkansas" will be stamped on the barrel in the vicinity of the rear sight. If you don't know the model of the gun, it's not a game stopper. Describe what the gun is doing (or not doing) and tell us if any major parts need to be replaced. Cost of stocks, levers and shot tubes (for example) would add to the standard repair rates.
If you simply have questions, we welcome those as well.

How to load grease in it?

The model 1056S will accept the standard grease cartridge available at any parts store. I have to use a razor blade and cut off the metal pull tab end. Then push the cartridge into the cylinder from the top. The real trick is to guide the rubber seal into the cartridge; it can be done, I load mine this way. Use the little lock to hold off the long plunger, allow just enough to work with inorder to insert rubber seal into cartridge. Only after the rubber is in the cartridge, then screw on the bottom cap. Then release the long plunger rod. You noticed that the plunger rod will rotate out of the rubber seal assembly, rotate it so the rod can be pushed into the cylinder without pushing the rubber seals. The sping will push the rubber seal to ensure grease is mover to the top. Very powerful PSI, do not blow out the rubber cups around the zerk fittings. Good luck

I am replacing the Seals in my NR83A2S. Do you have to use a specific lubricant or grease when you replace the seals and if so, where do you purchase it?

In my repair center and we use Senco's Tribo-Lube (part number YB0123) when rebuilding pneumatic guns. It's a light weight grease for the o-rings and available on a few after market websites. You can do a websearch on the part numer to find it. For a one time repair, one tube of this grease is going to be way more than you need. You can also use a lightweight grease like white lithium to lube the o-rings. Make sure you are using a little pneumatic oil in your gun every day you use it to keep the o-rings in good shape.

I have a Bostitch Model BT35B brad nailer and am replacing the o'rings. I noticed in the nose there is a washer with a place for he nail driver goes through when it is fired. The washer type has

According to the diagrams for your gun the parts under the cylinder should be assembled in the following order: Driver Guide (S32090), Orange Urethane Washer (S320010), Frame Plate (S32187), and Bumper (102882). The cylinder holds all of them in place, there shouldn't be anything that hardens in there. It's possible the old urethane washer hardened and attached to the guide and frame plate or someone fixing the gun didn't have the urethane washer and used something to seal the two parts together.

I have a Porter cable 18 gauge nail gun. I think that a seal is blown because when you try to make it set a nail it just exhausts air. I took the top off and checked the seals but i could not see any...

Check the parts breakdown for your model and see if seal #894737 is listed. This seal is cause of problem that you describe. It is included in the rebuild kit or available separately. If this seal is not listed, then problem is fine scratches on oring contact surfaces in head. Use magnify glass to examine surface and remove fine scratches with 400 grit paper. Apply silicone paste lube to all surfaces that contact orings and seals. (Silicone lube is available at Lowes in plumbing department, used for faucet orings). Parts for gun are available at Dewalt service center or at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Good luck with your repair.

New Porter Cable BN200A brad nailer won't fire.

I have seen this problem several times and have been able to repair like new by replacing part #894737 head valve seal. Upon assembly examine metal parts for fine scratches where orings or seals contact. Remove scratches with fine sandpaper (300-400 grit). Lube orings/seals with silicone lube sold at Lowes in the plumbing department (Danco Brand). You can buy this part from local Dewalt repair center or on the net at www.toolpartsirect.com. This part is alco included in kit #60061. Install the kit if gun is several years old or has lots of wear. This nailer will not operate correctly if there is an air leak. If you have a leak after installing new part/parts please email for directions. Good luck!

I have an old Bostitch SN80 Stick Nail gun that has a broken striker resulted from a jammed nail. Is there replacement parts for it or recommend a service repair center in the Greater Area North of Boston,...

I order parts from several companies for Bostitch nailers. First however make sure of the model number of the gun. Bostitch nailers had the model stamped onto the lower part of the body just barely visable when new. They had a framer with the model designation N80S. Max has a model # sn80 which looks just like the bostitch but their colors are red and silver instead of yellow. The best place for parts for outdated guns is: http://www.foxborotool.com/parts.htm. Email them with your needs and they will inform you of prices/shipping. Driver is easy to install. Other places to order bostitch is WWW.toolpartsdirect.com and of course www.bostitch.com. At the bostitch site look for support, then service parts, then press down arrow for model numbers. Good luck with your repair and email if you have questions.

Hitachi NR83A air leak

Most all Hitachi nailers that use the plunger style of firing/safety mech will leak air past plunger (part #877-339) when firing, however should not leak when connected to air or resting. If air is leaking past plunger when connnected to air check following:
Remove head to reveal cylinder plate (part#877-318). Remove plate and check outer oring for nicks or broken. If nicked or broken, replace and problem solved. If in good condition, remove cylinder guide (part #877-310) and check two outer orings for nick /cut. Use caution when removing/installing cylinder guide. It is easy to pinch orings when installing causing air leak at plunger. If orings are in good shape then problem is warped body of gun not allowing outer orings to seal. To check for warped body, use the cylinder plate as a guage by lowering it into the area where the cylinder guide rests. Good Luck with your repair.
