SOURCE: sump pump float adjustment

This really depends entirely on you. the higher the water level the less frequently it will run. most motors use more power to start than they do to run so starting less should save you money.

SOURCE: drain sump oil

What kind of oil did they put in? The drain is on the lowest part of the engine, a small plug either in the block or at the end of a pipe, just find a container to fit under there and pull the plug, then fill it back up with the fresh oil. Don't forget the plug!

SOURCE: My Zoeller M53 Sump Pump

If your seal or gasket failed and water penetrated into the motor cabinet how certain are you that whatever you have done has actually remedied the underlying issue of the pump being grounded?

A new M53 is ~$125 - $150 and the oil is not something you can walk into the hardware store and pick up off the shelf. I'd want to be certain you have fixed the ground first. Having worked on these in the past it is unlikely you are going to fix anything wrong with the winding, especially for less than a new unit.

If all is OK and the oil is all you need ask around at local pump repair shops for 10 or 20 weight non-detergent pump oil...they should know what you want and if they sell it, you should be all set. As for the amount, pour it in slowly until you see the winding is fully submerged. You need to leave room at the top to allow for thermal expansion of the oil.

Volvo penta aq151 how do drain engine oil

I haven't worked on boats for some time but in your case I remember we pumped the oil out through the dipstick tube. FYI you are in the wrong category, this is for cars. I would also contact a local boat dealer on this as well in case there is a simpler way to change the oil

How to change oil pump

Changing the oil pump is not easy, the oil pump is situated in the engine oil sump. So you have to go under the car and remove the oil sump pan to get at it. First you have to drain the oil. I recommend you buy a repair manual such as Haynes from a auto parts shop for about $15 before you start the job and follow the instructions in the manual. Good luck

Oil Drain Plug location

The sump drain plug will be at the lowest possible point on the sump. The one in front of the water pump is probably the water drain plug.

Kubota M 5030 2.8 6 cyl. Diesel in oil sump. Why?

Diesel gets in the sump from an seal leaking in the fuel pump through to the drive gear and out into the sump. If it has an inline pump( one where the injector lines are in a row at the top of the pump) the fuel will be leaking past the plunger elements and into the pump sump which then drains back tot he engine sump. IF it is slight but consistent sometimes injectors will dribble when shut down and the fuel will by pass the piston rings into the sump. Talk with a diesel pump and injector repair specialist for any faults particular to the Kubota fuel system
