Clicking noise as furnace tries to start

If you have a gas or fuel oil furnace, that is your igniter trying to light the fuel. If it does it for a few seconds and quits without lighting the furnace, there may be no fuel getting to the burner. Check for fuel supply - oil tank empty? gas line turned off? etc

A commonrail diesel ford ranger won't start, but it crank

You would need to check the glow plug timer circuit and the fuel supply. Diesel glow plugs can wear out. Make sure the "Ready light" is working and that you hear the timer cycling. Usually the lights will dim as the power goes to the glow plugs.

The glow plug wire can be checked with a Voltmeter inserted on a wire from the Relay timer. The glow plugs are tested when they are removed from the engine. If you get this far, you can use battery cables to test them. They can melt. Ask for more details about proper procedure.

Apply bit of white grease to motor gears.

Fisher and paykel dryer not working

If what you meant is that the dryer does not work but you hear the clicking noise , the fault is due to a faulty TIMER.
The stepper motor within the mechanical timer unit is SLIPPING either at the gear or the tooth and so doe not make the timer to move forward.
You can remove the timer and use some WD 40 but if there is wear-off on the gear the timer must be replaced unless you can source this from an old unit.

I hear the fan almost non stop while the tv is on.

You have a bad color wheel. The color wheel is located in front of the lamp, as the light shines through it as it spins. It is made up of different colored segments of glass, and one of the segments has came loose and causing the vibrating humming noise. The reason I know it isn't a fan is because the fans will continue to run for about 30 seconds after the set is powered off. The click you hear is the relay cutting off the fans. The color wheel cuts off as soon as you press the power button to cut the set off. I've replaced many of these at our shop for the same problem.

Wiring with another 3-way switch, works when other 3-way switch is on, clicks on/off when other 3 way switch is off

When installing a digital timer switch into a 3-way lighting circuit, you typically have to install a jumper wire across the "travelers" on the 3-way switch at the other end of the circuit, in order to get the timer to function properly, otherwise the switch operates erratically, as you've experienced

With an Intermatic brand timer, the jumper is included with the timer switch, usually it will be a small, about 2-3 inches long wire with fork terminals on each end.

You should have the power turned off before installing the jumper. Also, there is a distance limit (75-80 feet of wiring) as to how far apart the two (2) switches can be from one another, in order for the timer to work (with the installed jumper).

Normally, the travelers are one the same side of a 3-way switch, but you can use a voltage detector to confirm which wires are which (prior to turning off the power) to make installing the jumper easier. If you contact the manufacturer of your particular timer, they can email you a owners guide/installation pamphlet that shows the proper installation procedures for your timer switch.

If want, you can use the link below to contact Intermatic to get a spare users guide for your particular timer.

Malibu ML200RT low voltage power pack is not working

First check to make sure that you do not have more watts pulling than is recommended. If this is ok then pull both the red and black plastic pin from the timer and replace them then try. If neither of these solutions work you may have a problem at power source.

White dots on tv screen

The white dots that come and go could be what is called ignition noise. Caused by something in your residence or on the power line to your living area. You will have to do some tracking. Take a portable radio and tune it to the 550mhz, you will hear a crackle or buzz, tune to the loudest that the buzz/crackle can be heard. Walk around to see were the noise gets to be the loudest. If it gets weaker you are moving away from the source. The source could be a dimmer switch for lighting, or a loose connection on a receptcle, or in the panel box that supplies the residence. Worst case it could be entering from outside source. I have tracked ignition noise as far as two houses away that had a bad butter control on a refrigerator that was on the same power line that supplied the neighbor hood. There are so many things this day and age that could be causing your dots. Yours come and go, so you will have to track it when it is acually seen on your tv. Sounds like something on a timer like refrigerator, Furnace, etc.

Turns on but that's all

Oh yes the Sony Click When the camera powers up it must run a duty cycle to check that all circuits and the lenses are functioning properly. What you are hearing is most likely the gear assembly on the lens is out of time. one gear reaches its limit the motor doesn't know because another component is not is the proper orientation and on gear clicks over another. Never reaching the end The software does not get the information that everything is okay and does not allow the camera to function. Suggest professional Repair.
