If you are using it to watch cable TV stations, They may have different audio levels between programming. Also you want to check and not use dolby when atching standard TV channels

My psp says that the disc is unreadable on multiple occassions for no apparent reason when the game works fine in my cousins psp

Sounds like there is a problem with the disk drive in your PSP. Open up the disk tray and look for the laser. Take a (very) damp q-tip and lightly clean the laser and gently push the laser center. If this does not work you will need to replace your PSP laser or send it in.

2004 mercedes c240 alarm sounds for no apparent reason

Hi, You need to replace the alarm siren. It is also a module. It is located in the right front fender well. The reason they go bad is because they are located in a place where they get wet.

Lost audio for no apparent reason

Try unplugging your HDMI cable from the AVR I would like to see if your AVR is trying to use HDMI out instead of the composite. Next try plugging each device directly into your television, this will isolate the issue and tell us for sure whether or not it's the AVR.

Sound gone

disconnect everything in the back of the unit. reconnect only the cd to the imputs. also, just to be sure, disconnect all speakers(label them). fire it up,play a CD, connect the speakers 1 at a time. If the 1st works you have hope ,if not, try each channel individualy. The one that reduces volume is the problem-maybe shorted cable, bad speaker,or , God forbid-Bad amp Channel. good luck

Onkyo TX DS797 no sound from cable TV

Have you made sure the receiver's INPUT SELECTOR is set to "Video 2"? I know it seems like a stupid question, but worth mentioning as many folks would set the receiver on TV, which would not work unless the signal was also plugged into a "TV input" in back of the receiver. If your setting is correct, try running the TV cable sound temporarily into the receiver's DVD input, which we know does work. If you still don't get cable TV sound when the receiver is set to "DVD", then you have a problem with the TV cable audio portion. Most receivers would fail completely, rather than have only one input fail, so my guess is that there is a hookup or switching error somewhere.
