I have the Trio V2HD and my computer doesn't recognize the device what can I do?

Hi lilrusty2fw...

Go to Device Manager
To get to Device Manager you will:
Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager.
After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit.
Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points.
If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict.
If you currnetly have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.
If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.
The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

How to reformat onyx mp3 player

You can reformat it by plugging it into the computer using the usb cable. Once plugged in, the computer will recognize it as a new usb device. Open your Windows Explorer; right click Start button and choose Explore - this will open the windows explorer. On that window, under My Computer, look for the local drive letter associated with your MP3 player. Right click for the letter and choose Format.

How do I delete music files on my Machspeed trio? I only use it for listening to audiobooks....There is not enough room to download a new book...

Just plug it into a computer. It should recognize it as a new hard drive or something of the like. Then just go into My Computer, open it up, and delete files from it.

record what? I record fm radio and pretend to be listening to  music when i am actually recording what someone is saying at work or somewhere else..your player is formatted to view or play files in a certain way..if your computers os is earlier than windows 2000 than you must install the driver from disc and most importantly do not connect the player to your computer untill after you install the machspeed trio oynx motherboard driver (or whatever they calling it now) If your computer did not recognize the player to sync than you could drag the the file (song) or copy it from your computer to the removable disc that your computer has designated as your portable media device (mp3 player)
