Runs but will not carry a heavy load eng boggs down with load and voltage drops

The engine isn't getting enough fuel. Your carburetor needs cleaning. Generators are notorious for gummed carburetors because of the ethanol alcohol in today's gasoline and the generator sitting idle for weeks, months & even years without use wicks moisture into the fuel. Drain your carburetor of gasoline, & remove the carburetor. Clean your carburetor with Carburetor Cleaner spray & make sure the float needle valve & seat are clear of gum & varnish. To help prevent this from happening again, shut off the fuel petcock at the fuel tank and run the generator carburetor out of fuel before you put it away. It'll help keep the carburetor free of gunk. Also, replace the old fuel in the tank with fresh fuel every 3-6 months.

1994 ford ranger 2.3 fuel pump has burned out after 2 weeks, Why?

how full do you keep the tank..electric pumps will cavitate when the tank is less than 1/4 full..they use the liquid tokeep cool..also have you put on a new filter? if not do so.. theclogged filter will make the pump work harder..

I have a 1991 ford F150 6 cylinder with dual tanks. I just changed the oil,oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, and master brake cylinder last week and the truck was running good(started every day since)....

Hi :) That is normal. When you first turn on the key the prime relay kicks in for the gas pump then shuts off. Once you start the engine the fuel pump is restarted buildes pressure as the engine needs it. When you shut the key off the pump shuts down. You could check the fuel pump relay which is different then the prime relay or check the spark module on the distributor housing. And the wire that go to all control module have a bad habbit of cracking and turning green with corrosion.

1995 ford taurus v 6 stalls when hot restarts on cold

I had one with a poltergeist in it. It might run fine for weeks and one day when it's above 90 it would shut off. Let it sit for about a half hour and it would run fine for a few days or weeks. The Ford dealer could not figure it out. I found out it was not getting fuel even though it had a new pump and filter, same problem. Found a good used fuel regulator and that seemed to help out as the old one was full of rust. It shut off about 6 months after that and restarted & I soon sold that problem.

Will not start after it run for a while

usually after a car runs for a while and you shut it off and it wont start it is the fuel pump getting hot, you can easily check it the next time it doesnt start take off the gas cap and have someone to turn on the igniton key to the on position and listen at the gas nozzle for a humming sound if you hear nothing then your fuel pump is getting hot and shuttind down. hope this helped

Engine will just shut down while driving

if it dies on you again, unplug the MAP sensor and plug it back in and see if it starts. If it starts then the MAP sensor needs to be replaced.

Fuel Pump ????

Not likely a fuse those you can check
If a fuse blows you don't replace it only
to blow again, you find out why

Relays should last for 25 years & you can
switch them with other to check that

The fuel pump siezes mechanically or electrically
& that can go on for 6 months so check fuel pressure
at the motor with a gauge

Also there are at least 3 other tests that have to be done at
a repair shop with the correct tools
