If you mean that you want to constantly play with the battery connected to and simultaneously have the charger plugged into both then you will certainly have problems of overload and overheat the battery.

SOURCE: Dell Vostro 1000 shut down and won't turn back on

nope, it is your dc power regulator board. you will note this happens if the battery is in or out of the laptop. that is the key test. some regulators are on the main board and some are seperate for this reason. I think the vostro though is on the main board. A little board re-work will resolve this issue after replacing some components, but this is way beyond a home user's ability.. trust me on this. Sorry for the bad news. Thanks!

SOURCE: Computer slower when plugged in the wall than running on battery

I don't have experience on this laptop. But can you check your power management application from your control panel. It could be possible that this management program is taking more CPU resource. This is just an idea. I could be wrong.

Hello,

Test the adapter with another laptop in other to confirm if truly the adapter is still good. If the adapter works, then it means your laptop is having a power problem.

This has nothing to do with the battery because whether or not the battery is good or bad, that doesn't say the laptop shouldn't work with the adapter.

So the problem as to be either from the laptop's power board or from the AC adapter.

Tale care.

My laptop heats up when i play online games

Laptop is constantly using memory access, CPU and GPU when online.

Check your BIOS setting for Temperature warning settings.

Also, depending on how old the unit is, you may want to blow out and re thermal the heat sink.

Any kind of restricted airflow will cut the performance and make the unit run hot.

Pc laptops aint working

need more information. are the games you play online? if so, you likely need to uninstall/reinstall either flash or java. also try the games in a different browser. if the games are 'loading' but choppy and bad graphics, you don't have a video card driver installed.

Will my Gateway NV55C play Sims 3

If your laptop will play the demo, it should play the full game. Just be aware that patches and updates to the game can affect performance so if your running the game on the lowest settings, it isn't advisable to get it.
Looking at the graphics device in the NV55C it should run the game with no problems though.

Hope this helps

If i upgrade my 1 gb ram to 2 gb,there is a possible to increase the performance of my laptop(hp nc6230)for online games?

Hi,
RAM plays a vital in overall system performance. 1GB RAM is enough for general everyday work however, gaming demands more memory as well as processing speed, graphics card performance, internet speed etc.
From the above details, it is clear that RAM is one of the factors on which the overall performance of a PC depends. Increasing RAM may NOT give significant/ notable difference, but it would surely result in some improvement. HP NC6230 has Centrino processor ( with Windows XP Operating Probably) and if you add more RAM, it means more memory would be available for the Operating System as well as applications/ online games.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

I have a HP Pavilion dv8225nr notebook pc and when I plug the ac adapter into the notebook the battery light keeps blinking and it wont hold a charge. When I keep it plugged in and I turn it on it wont...

It is most likely a bad AC adapter. One way to test it is to remove your battery (I put the steps to do this below) and just plug the laptop in with the battery removed. If it does not power up then your AC adapter is bad. You can buy new batteries online or at your local electronics store. I would advise against buying them from a store though because they are usually much more expensive. I did a quick google search and found some on amazon for a pretty good price.
http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-DV8225NR-Battery-Replacement/dp/B003KVZIQ2

Remove the battery by following these steps:

a. Turn the computer upside down with the front panel

toward you.
b. Slide and hold the battery release latch to the left.

(The front edge of the battery disengages from

the computer.)
c. Lift the front edge of the battery up and swing it back.

d. Remove the battery.

DVD DRIVE NOT BEING RECONISED

This is a solution for error code 41 but it may assist you with your problem.

A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This error occurs when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device.

If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the hardware was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, a newer version of the driver might be needed. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the Add Hardware wizard. Click Performance and Maintenance on Control Panel, click System, and on the Hardware tab, click Add Hardware Wizard.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

Good luck.
