Question about Lite On (ldw811s) DVD±RW Burner

LG vs Lite On

I am confused. I would like to know the difference between the LG LRA 850 dvd recorder and the Lite On LVW 5005 dvd recorder. I want the DVD recorder to record vhs tapes from my vcr and Hi8 camera tapes from my camcorder. Is there anyone who can do a comparison of the 2 sets for me.
thank you. Please send reply to merengue@primus.ca

Both are just the same features just to write file from your hard drive. Maybe your point is you want the video from your VHS tapes will transfer to your hard drive. The only way to copy the video from your VHS is you need an external VHS player at the same time it will record the running video to a soft copy.

Please check this maybe this will be helpful http://www.allformp3.com/dvd-copy-software/convert-vhs-to-dvd.htm

Please rate me solve if you like my solution.

Best regards,

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Unplugging the power chord to unit for sometime (around 20 - 30 minutes) and plug back the power chord .
After that press the eject button for 30 seconds at times this may work and you can get back the dvd from the player .

Lite on LVW 5005 NOT WORKING

This is a common problem with the Lite-on LVW range of DVD recorders due to changes in the construction of more recent DVD R media. It can be solved with a relatively simple firmware upgrade.

Goto : http://r00.liteonit.com.tw/DC/english/download/index.asp

You'll need to have a blank CD and a CD/DVD writer in the PC you use to download the file.

Follow the instructions on the website to upgrade your firmware, this should then allow you to write to DVD's once again.
