It's most likely the fan...that happened to mine. Solution? Remove the top cover (8 screws) and with a pair of needle nose pliers unplug the fan power plug - red and black wires. Mine works fine after 1 year.
I bought a new universal remote because my RCA Home Theater remote went bad, took a few hours to figure out that I had to use the Audio remote code on the list. I have RCA RCRN06GR Blu-Ray Home Theater. The audio codes that came with my new remote are 41609, 41254, 41390, 41511, 42041. I believe it was 41254 but try them all if it doesnt work.
