Try cranking wheel all the way to the left (with car running) it should squeal. Then to the right. Hold it all the way over for about 5-10 seconds each way, It may try to fight you but just hold it tight. You may have to repeat a couple times. Make sure fluid is full.

Installed new rorors and brake pads to front of my 2009 Journey. Now I have good brakes but the pedal will slowly go to the floor if your foot is left on the pedal as you would while at a stop light. Why...

Did you open a brake line during your repair? If so, you'll need to bleed the air out of your brakes. If that's not the problem, check your brake booster. Had that problem on my Honda and a new booster corrected the problem.

How do I know if the power stering pump is bad or if it is the high pressure hose in a 2000 durango

If is no leak, then maybe you need to bleed the power steering pump. jack the vehicle from the front , and leave the tires free from floor.Take off the steering pump cap, pull the steering wheel all the way to one side and hold for few seconds, let the system to bleed air , then pull all the way to the other side and do the same. somone should be looking the pump to see if air bubles are coming out, repeat as nessesary, If after this proceidure power steering still hard and noisy, replace the pump.

Note: Safety first. Use stand jacks and other security tools to prevent accidents.

What is the order to bleed brakes on a 2009 Dodge Journey

Start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder and work your way to the closest for last. Typically RR, LR, RF, LF.

Replaced brake pads on 2009 Dodge Journey, but now when the brakes are pressed the caliper won't engage.

Well you need to check your fluid level on the master cylinder first. Then I suggest that you bleed the brake system. Always start bleeding from the wheel furthest away from the master.

Did you bleed out the air in the brake lines and replace fluid after you did the job? Is there any grease or other substance on the surface of the pads?

How do you bleed a power steering pump on a 2005 dodge caravan

With the engine running slowly turn the steering wheel from stop to stop several times. Make sure the level stays full. As the air pockets are reduced the level may go down. It may take awhile to get all the air out of the system. If the power steering works it is not a problem.

Bleeding power steering pump

The system bleeds its self as it runs, the pump will eventually stop wining once the air is out of the lines.Let the van idle and turn the steering wheel full lock in each direction a couple time to move the fluid through out the system letting out any air.
