rjsymmes has the most accurate solution. Start with a battery replacement. Next course of action is to use a Bootable Media Source (Windows Disk or Recovery Disk) to see if the laptop responds and can have the Start Up repaired. If a Boot Media fails, then examine RAM, Hard Drive removal, then boot. Last resort Motherboard.
Do not panic yet - all you need is the battery replacement. Don't mind that the watch is less than a year old - it may laid in sellers store for a year or so and as the watches are not refitted with the brand new battery at the selling point, they may have underpwered battery much more quicker than you expected Find your nearest watch repair shop and ask for battery replacement. Your watch will tick as brand new and will last much longer then before.
This sounds like a simple battery replacement. Depending on how low the battery is usually pressing the light button and the display goes dim or blank is a good indicator of this. Takes a CR1616 battery and be careful of the spring inside and make sure the seal is in the correct position. You will need to touch the AC button and the back of the battery with a pair tweezers for a couple of seconds to reset the watch. Put the case back on and set the watch thru the functions.
